Upon his arrival in Brussels, Vučić posted on his Instagram profile along with photos:“This Summit is an excellent opportunity for Serbia to once again present its positions on EU enlargement policy. I am confident that our voice will be heard, even though times are difficult and uncertain, not only for the Western Balkans region but for all of Europe. I am grateful to Euronews for the original idea, their hospitality, and especially for the opportunity to openly discuss all the challenges facing countries in the region on their EU path.”     View this post on Instagram           A post shared by Aleksandar Vučić (@buducnostsrbijeav) A series of very important meetingsVučić met with the President of the European Council, António Costa.“An excellent meeting with Costa on key aspects of Serbia-EU relations, especially in the areas of economic cooperation, our country’s role in the Western Balkans and Europe, as well as the continuation of the reform process to which Serbia remains sincerely committed.I emphasized that, at the same time, I expect transparency and clear signals from the EU regarding enlargement policy, given that we have demonstrated a responsible partnership with the Union.I reiterated that our position on accession is consistent and firm, for which we need strong support from the EU.That is why I am particularly grateful to Costa for his personal engagement, understanding, sincerity, and the opportunity to openly discuss all the challenges we face, as well as for his efforts to ensure that the European perspective for our region is translated into the reality we aspire to,” Vučić wrote on Instagram.     View this post on Instagram           A post shared by Aleksandar Vučić (@buducnostsrbijeav) Vučić will then attend a dinner hosted by EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kós in honor of the heads of state and government participating in the Summit.During his stay in Brussels, Vučić is also scheduled to meet with the EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, Peter Sørensen. At the EU Enlargement Summit, leading EU and candidate country leaders will discuss the future of European integration. The timing of the Euronews Summit coincides with the presentation of the 2025 EU enlargement package by the European Commission—an annual assessment of candidate countries’ progress, which will set the tone for the coming year. The event comes at a time when the majority of Europeans support the expansion of the 27-member bloc, with a recent Eurobarometer survey showing that 56 percent of EU citizens back enlargement, with particularly strong support among younger Europeans.
