Searches are underway at over 70 locations.One person was arrested, and criminal charges were filed against 104 people, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal acts of illegal circulation of excise goods and illegal storage of goods.The budget of the Republic of Serbia was damaged by around 246,766,800 dinars, according to the Ministry of Interior's announcement.  It is a coordinated operation to suppress the gray economy, in which members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Criminal Police Directorate, the Crime Suppression Service and 23 regional police departments participated, in cooperation with the Tax Police Sector and competent public prosecutor's offices. In a synchronized search at more than 100 locations in Serbia, the police found and confiscated a total of about 11.6 tons of cut tobacco, about 10.9 tons of loose tobacco, 10,200 boxes of cigarettes, as well as about 2.2 tons of hookah tobacco, about 15,920 liters of oil derivatives, 2.3 tons of coffee, about 12,300 liters of alcohol without proper accompanying documentation and proof of origin, as well as 9 filling machines and 12 tobacco cutting machines, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.Also, the police found large quantities of meat and meat products with the arrested person, which, despite the expired deadline, were put on the market, as well as hundreds of perfumes and clothes of well-known world brands, which is why, according to the order of the competent prosecutor's office, he was detained for up to 48 hours.
