Poland warned: Terrorist attack being prepared

"Within the framework of implementing the agreement on the need for cooperation in combating crime, during today's meeting at the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Poland's chargé d'affaires in Belarus, Krzysztof Ozana, was informed about information received by the ministry from Belarusian law enforcement agencies regarding preparations for a terrorist attack on Polish territory," the statement said, according to Sputnik.

It noted that Poland had been informed that the planned terrorist attack involved a person residing in the country who had been convicted in Belarus under several articles of the criminal code and whose subsidiary protection status and right of residence in Poland had recently been revoked by Polish authorities.

"A terrorist attack is being prepared, with the primary targets being the minor children of an activist living in Poland and holding Belarusian citizenship, as an act of revenge over what are described as insufficient efforts to maintain the aforementioned person's status in Poland," the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
