Meteorologists have announced snow and frost for the first week of 2026.
However, Britain will not be the only European country to experience a cold snap with the arrival of the New Year. The change in weather will also affect the Czech Republic. The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute warned that the coming days will be marked by winter and snow.

“In the mountains, starting Tuesday, the weather will be distinctly wintery with frost throughout the day, and around the New Year, the wind will blow even stronger. Typical winter phenomena, such as snowdrifts or occasional snow banks, can also be expected. The first week of 2026 will likely follow a similar pattern. Temperatures will be below average (on some days, frost may last all day across all regions) with fairly frequent snowfall,” the meteorologists stated.
