General Staff: Target hit, directly in the center PHOTO/VIDEO
Ukrainian forces carried out an attack on an industrial facility in the Moscow region of Russia which, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, produces combat units for Iranian kamikaze-drones "Shahed".
The Ukrainian agency Ukrinform reminded that exactly this type of drone is used by the Russian army for mass attacks on Ukraine.
In a statement published on Facebook, the General Staff states that on July 4, unmanned units of the Ukrainian forces, in coordination with other elements of the Defense Forces, attacked JSC "FNPC Research Institute of Applied Chemistry" in the city of Sergiyev Posad.
According to the Ukrainian side, that factory is also involved in the production of thermobaric warheads for the "Shahed" drones, which Russia uses in attacks on Ukrainian cities.
It was stated that a direct hit was recorded, "with thick smoke and fire in the vicinity of the object hit".
Details of the extent of the damage are still being verified.
As of last night, Ukrainian anti-aircraft forces claim to have neutralized a total of 478 Russian aerial targets, including more than 330 Shahed drones.
