Planned attack: Link to mass murderer revealed

This is the third third person to face charges in the investigation overseen by the Olsztyn District Prosecutor's Office in northeastern Poland, said the spokesman for the special services coordinator, Jacek Dobzynski.

"Investigators determined that all the suspects collected information on the Internet about handling firearms, shooting positions and conducting combat operations in open and closed spaces. For the purpose of training, they visited shooting ranges and conducted military-tactical training," he said on platform X.

Dobzynski stated that the suspects collected pyrotechnic devices and instructions on how to construct explosive systems, and they drew inspiration, among other things, from the activities of mass murderers such as Anders Breivik, Brenton Tarrant and Timothy McVeigh.

"They were fascinated by their ideology, they analyzed how they carried out attacks and the mistakes they made. The content they downloaded influenced the formation of extremely radical attitudes," Dobzynski pointed out.

He added that two men were remanded in custody, while the third suspect was sentenced to house arrest by the District Court in Olsztyn.
