The 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck at 3:06 a.m. local time in Greece in the Gulf of Corinth, according to the Athens Geodynamic Institute.
A strong earthquake of 4.8 degrees that was registered in the Gulf of Corinth was also felt in Attica, reports Kathimerini.
In a statement from the Athens Geodynamic Institute, it is stated that the epicenter of the earthquake was 13 kilometers southeast of Galaxidi, with the focal point at a depth of 13.5 km.
The Gulf of Corinth is a sensitive zone characterized by high seismicity and frequent occurrence of earthquakes, according to Kathimerini.
