In the grand final in our capital, Serbia defeated Hungary 10–7 (3–2, 2–3, 2–1, 3–1).

The most efficient player for Serbia was Dušan Mandić, who scored four goals, while Nikola Lukić hit the net twice. Vasilije Martinović, Nemanja Vico, Djordje Lazić, and Radomir Drašović each added one goal.

Serbia played the match against Hungary without Miloš Ćuk, who missed the European Championship final due to a virus. Serbia’s goalkeeper Milan Glušac was outstanding, recording 11 saves.

The Serbian team won its first European title in eight years, and the ninth overall in the history of the European Championship.

The match was played at the Belgrade Arena in front of around 13,000 spectators. Fans who were unable to get tickets followed the European Championship final outside the Belgrade Arena on a video screen. A large number of Serbian supporters cheered for the national team outside the Arena despite strong winds.

The bronze medal was won by Greece, which earlier today defeated Italy 12–5 in the third-place match.
