Djokovic's coach: "Novak will win three Grand Slam titles this year!"

Djokovic is currently in Melbourne, where he got off to a strong start at the Australian Open with a commanding victory over Pedro Martinez (6:3, 6:2, 6:2).

This promising start was followed by an even more optimistic forecast from Vemić.

“With him, you always have to work on improvement, move forward, and gain experience regardless of the circumstances. For 2026, he is ready to overcome all these challenges even better than last year. I am eagerly looking forward to this season, and in my opinion, he can win three Grand Slam tournaments this year,” Vemić told L’Équipe.

Since Vemić works closely with Novak and sees what viewers do not, there is clearly a reason for his optimism. He is evidently impressed by the way Djokovic trained during the off-season.

The two have been working together since May last year, and together in Geneva, they celebrated the 100th title in Djokovic’s career.

Novak’s next match is against Italian Francesco Maestrelli.
