Djokovic did his media duties a few days before his first match at the Monte Carlo Masters, his first clay-court tournament of the new season.

On that occasion, he was asked if he still watches tennis, given how busy he is with his personal obligations, and how long he has been playing the "white sport" professionally.

"I watch... I watch more 'highlights', to be honest. Except when a very important or interesting match is being played. Or a Serbian player is playing. In that case I will watch a little more than just the 'highlights', but generally my hands are full with other things, family, children... So I don't watch the whole matches, but I follow everything that happens in the tournaments!" said Djokovic.

Everything is clear, given that this will be the 18th career participation in the Masters in Monte Carlo, the biggest in history.

"It feels good! In a way... I've always enjoyed being in Monte Carlo, it's been my residence there for so long. Both of my children were born in Monte Carlo! I know all the people who work here, the courts... The club changes a lot when the tournament is in progress, it's not very recognizable, but it's certainly beautiful," said the 37-year-old.

Novak's first opponent in Monte Carlo will be Alejandro Tabilo in the second round, and that match is scheduled for Wednesday.
