Starting Thursday, a gradual drop in temperatures is expected in the northern and western parts of the country, while very warm weather will persist in other parts of Serbia through Friday, with temperatures reaching up to 36°C.

On Thursday, rain and locally heavy showers with thunderstorms are expected in hilly and mountainous areas, while on Friday and Saturday, rainfall will spread to other parts of the country in places.

Cooler weather across the country from Saturday

From Saturday, temperatures will drop across the entire country. On Sunday, following a cool morning, daily highs in most areas will range from 24°C to 27°C.

“Cold Shock” coming on September 11

Meteorologist Ivan Ristić is forecasting a “cold shock” starting September 11.

He confirms that a dramatic change in weather is on the way, with a sudden shift toward autumn-like conditions.

Ristić explains that temperatures will still range from 30°C to 35°C today, but that a real shock is expected from September 11, as a cold front will bring a temperature drop of 15 to 20 degrees compared with the hot days.

Prepare warmer clothes and lightweight jackets

According to Ristić, autumn weather will fully take hold across the region, meaning we will have to quickly adapt to the new conditions.

“From September 11, the weather will call for lightweight jackets and layered clothing, as we are facing a sudden and sharp transition from summer to autumn,” Ristić told Blic.
