Urgent warning for Belgraders: All businesses and municipal offices on high alert due to forecasted rainfall

Citizens are being informed that the State Hydrometeorological Institute of Serbia RHMZ has issued a warning for heavy rainfall expected in the evening hours, and that the Public Water Company "Srbijavode" has warned of a possible increase in water levels in the municipal network.

The Secretary for Defense, Emergency Situations, and Coordination, Darko Glavaš, stated that the expected rainfall in the territory of Belgrade is between 40 and 70 liters per square meter, and locally even more.

“The storm is moving toward Belgrade from the direction of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where rainfall has already begun, and the entire ‘storm front’ is gradually approaching our capital. All municipal services are at citizens’ disposal, and once again we urge residents to prepare in accordance with the announced meteorological conditions over the next 72 hours,” Glavaš said.
