The Court of Appeal sent back the indictment for the murder of Danka Ilić for retrial
The Appellate Court in Niš revoked the decision confirming the indictment against Dejan Dragijević and Srdjan Janković, suspects in the murder of the two-year-old girl Danka Ilić, and ordered the High Court in Zaječar to re-decision.
The second-instance court accepted the appeal of Dragijević's defense attorney, Vanja Živković, and annulled the first-instance decision confirming the indictment, it was announced on the court's website.
The indictment charges Srdjan Janković and Dejan Dragijević with the criminal offense of aggravated murder in complicity, while Radoslav Dragijević is charged with the criminal offense of assisting the perpetrator after the crime has been committed and failure to report the criminal offense and the perpetrator.
In the indictment, the prosecution proposed that the court sentence Dejan Dragijević and Srdjan Janković to life imprisonment.
It is suspected that on March 26, Dejan Dragijević and Srdjan Janković in Banjsko polje near Bor first hit a two-year-old girl with a car belonging to JKP "Vodovod", where they were employed, and then put her in the vehicle.
It is suspected that they threw her body at a landfill, from where it was later moved. The girl's body has not yet been found.
Radoslav Dragijević is suspected of helping his son move the girl's body.
Dejan Dragijević's brother, Dalibor Dragijević, died on April 7 last year in the premises of the Police Department in Bor during detention.
