Tomorrow's hearing for the defendants in the Kočani fire case has been postponed

The next hearing is scheduled for December 2, and the reason for the postponement is that some of the defendants have not received the consolidated indictment and cannot enter a plea, nor can their lawyers deliver opening statements.

An additional reason for the postponement of tomorrow’s hearing is that some of the victims have not been provided with the names and addresses of their lawyers.

Judge Dijana Gruevska-Ilievska, who presides over the judicial panel in the Puls nightclub fire case, canceled the hearing scheduled for tomorrow and set the next one for December 2.

 

At today’s hearing, according to the Skopje portal ‘360 stepeni,’ the judge spent more than half an hour recording the names of the victims’ lawyers who were present in the courtroom at the Idrizovo prison in Skopje.

Lawyers representing the families of the deceased and the injured joined the criminal prosecution led by the Prosecutor’s Office and stated that they will seek compensation in a civil proceeding.
