A supercell storm has been formed; Warnings are issued VIDEO
Slovenian media reports that a strong storm has already hit the Nova Gorica area, and that it is moving towards the interior of the country.
Radar measurements also show heavy precipitation and the possibility of hail, and according to Rain Alarm data, clouds are passing over Slovenia and moving towards Croatia.
For this reason, a thunderstorm warning has already been issued for the Zagreb, Karlovac, Gospić and Rijeka regions, while due to very high temperatures, i.e. a heat wave, a warning is in effect for the Osijek, Zagreb, Karlovac and Split regions.
Istramet reports that black clouds are gathering over central Istria.
"The gravity of the storm event is moving towards the Adriatic with a weak easterly wind, where the accumulated stock of potential convective energy that storms need in order to evolve will last. Even on Tuesday morning, a stronger storm is not ruled out, especially in central and southwestern Slovenia," the media said.
