Manja Grčić resigns as RTS Director-General
Manja Grčić has resigned as Director-General of Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), according to an announcement published on the broadcaster’s website.
Manja Grčić was appointed Director-General on February 11, 2026.
In her resignation letter, she said she had made the decision after carefully considering the circumstances in which the public broadcaster currently operates, concluding that it was in the institution’s best interest to ensure the uninterrupted continuation of its work, Euronews Serbia reported.
“I expect the Management Board, within the scope of its statutory powers, to take all necessary steps without delay to ensure continuity of leadership and a lawful handover of duties,” Manja Grčić stated.
She added that she was prepared to provide all necessary cooperation, in accordance with the law, to ensure that the handover was carried out properly and without disrupting RTS operations.
The resignation letter was dated October 28.
Some RTS employees and candidates from the Student List had called for Manja Grčić’s resignation, along with those of other members of the broadcaster’s management and editors of its News and Current Affairs Department.
