The 31st Saint Sava Award for achievements in the field of education has been presented VIDEO

Prime Minister of Serbia, Djuro Macut, and Minister of Education, Vuk Dejan Stanković, presented today at a ceremony in the Government of Serbia the 31st Saint Sava Award to individuals and institutions for outstanding achievements in the field of education.

The recipients of last year’s Saint Sava Award are:

  • Preschool Institution “Lane” from Aleksinac

  • Preschool Institution “Vračar” from Belgrade

  • Founder and President of the Association of Preschool Educators of Serbia, Slobodanka Radosavljević

  • Elementary School “Ivo Lola Ribar” from Veliko Gradište

  • Elementary School “Ivan Vušović” from Ražanj

  • Elementary School “Petefi Šandor” from Senta

Individual awardees include:

  • Janko Jelenić, an eighth-grade student at Elementary School “Miroslav Antić” in Niš

  • Miladin Božović, Director of Elementary School “Sreten Lazarević” in Prilike

  • Milanka Berković, primary school teacher at Elementary School “Filip Višnjić” in Belgrade

  • Ivan Marković, teacher at Elementary School “Mića Stanojlović” in Koceljeva

  • Olaj Ibolja, teacher at Elementary School “Turzo Lajoš” in Senta

  • Zorica Labović, teacher at Elementary School “Filip Filipović” in Belgrade

Other recipients include:

  • Ljiljana Petrović, primary school teacher at the School for Adult Education “Đuro Salaj,” Lazarevac branch

  • Milica Danikov, fourth-grade student at Zrenjanin Gymnasium

  • Lazar Trajković, fourth-grade student at Medical School “Dr. Isabel Emslie Haton” in Vranje

  • Luka Trajković, fourth-grade student at Medical School “Dr. Isabel Emslie Haton” in Vranje

  • Oršolja Ferenci, first-grade student at Bečej Gymnasium

  • Andrej Drobnjaković, fourth-grade student at the Mathematical Gymnasium in Belgrade

  • Larisa Ivanović, first-grade student at “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj” Gymnasium and Ballet School in Novi Sad

  • Ljubiša Stevanović, Director of the Agricultural-Veterinary School with Student Dormitory in Rekovac

  • Aleksinac Gymnasium

  • Student Dormitory of Secondary Schools in Čačak

  • School psychologist at the Secondary School Dormitory in Novi Sad

  • Isidora Knežević, sixth-year student of the integrated academic program at the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad

Additional recipients include:

  • Faculty of Philosophy, University of Priština, temporarily based in Kosovska Mitrovica

  • Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Pavlović, full professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Priština

  • Nataša Radosavljević Gaberova, Serbian language lecturer at Beijing International Studies University

  • Dr. Ivica Ćalović, scientific advisor and research consultant at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops
