The session of the Belgrade City Assembly has begun: 39 items on the agenda VIDEO

Most of the items on the agenda refer to proposals for decisions on plans and amendments to decisions on detailed regulation plans for parts of the municipalities of Savski venac, Voždovac, Čukarica, Zemun, Vračar, Surčin, Zvezdara, Stari grad, Novi Beograd and Palilula, as well as a proposal for a decision on amendments to the Decision on the development of a spatial plan for the municipality of Mladenovac.

Councilors of the City Assembly will consider the Proposal for a decision on student aid for families with school-aged children in the territory of the city of Belgrade, which establishes the right to grant student aid of 20,000 dinars to families of students who regularly attend primary and secondary schools in public or private ownership and in the territory of the city of Belgrade for the school year 2025/2026.

The councilors will also consider the Proposal for a Decision on Amendments to the Decision on Permanent Manifestations in the Field of Culture of Importance for the City of Belgrade, which proposed adding a new position according to which the president of the board or a person authorized by him will represent the event, with the prior consent of the City of Belgrade.

The City Assembly will also decide on the Proposal for a Decision on Amendments to the Decision on Public Regular Passenger Transportation in the City of Belgrade, which extends the deadline for removing buses older than 10 years from use, which perform regular passenger transportation, for another year, from September 1, 2025 to September 1, 2026.

The proposed decision is explained by the fact that the public procurement procedure carried out by PUK GSP "Belgrade" is still ongoing and has not been completed, so that by withdrawing more than 200 vehicles on September 1, due to the age limit, PUK GSP "Belgrade" would not be able to perform the contracted volume of traffic.

The proposed decision on amendments to the Decision on the establishment of the Public Utility Company for the collection, logistics and management of public passenger transport in Belgrade changes the business name of the Public Utility Company for the collection, logistics and management of public passenger transport in Belgrade PUC "Billing for Transport Services Belgrade" to the Public Utility Company for the Management, Control and Logistics of Public Passenger Transport in Belgrade - PUC "Management of public transport Belgrade".

The members of the City Assembly will also consider the Information on the cessation of the need for the introduction of the communal activity of public liner transportation of passengers in liner shipping on the territory of the city of Belgrade.

As stated in the explanation, it was estimated that this type of transport would be slow and expensive, especially considering that since January 1 this year, public transport is free, and that its introduction is very complicated due to infrastructure problems and requires demanding preparatory works.

The councilors will also consider the Report on the work of the City of Belgrade Attorney's Office for the year 2024, the Report on the work of the Ombudsman of the City of Belgrade for the year 2024 and the Report on the work of the Health Council of the City of Belgrade for the year 2024.
