A criminal complaint will be filed against six more members, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed criminal acts of association for the purpose of committing criminal acts, extortion and bribery.

Among the arrested are S.Dj. (38), V.D. (42), M.N. (37) and A.S. (32), while S.Dj. (38), who is suspected of being the organizer of this organized criminal group, as well as I.K. (31), J.J. (31), N.I. (31), A.G. (31) and M.M. (25), were previously in custody.

MIA spoke up immediately

"It is suspected that S.Dj. (39), from January 2021 to December 2024, organized and created the plan of action of an organized criminal group, which, taking advantage of their difficult financial situation, gave people from the territory of Čačak money on loans, with monthly interest rates of 10 to 30 percent," the MIA states in the statement and adds:

"In some cases, due to the impossibility of collecting such high interest rates, it is suspected that the members of the organized criminal group threatened the victims, inflicted physical injuries on them with metal batons and forced them to pay by force.

In this way, the organizer and members of the organized criminal gang are suspected to have obtained an illegal financial gain of more than 19,000,000 dinars, to the detriment of 21 people.

The arrested were detained for up to 48 hours, and they will be brought to the competent prosecutor's office with a criminal report."
