Continuation of the great fight against corruption: Three people arrested in Niš; The search continues
Zoran Stanojević, the owner of Sim Puk Construction from Malošište, was arrested this morning in an operation by members of the Criminal Police Directorate on the order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Niš, "Kurir" reports.
Besides him, Damir and Dejan Nikolić, owners of the company Vodomonteri Lalinac, were also detained.
They are suspected of damaging the city's budget by several million euros with the former mayor of Niš, Dragana Sotirovski.
According to the information from the investigation, they are suspected of helping her by carrying out work on the water supply as urgent and multiplying the prices of the work in agreement with the then mayor.
"Zoran Stanojević, Damir Nikolić and Dejan Nikolić are suspected that as contractors, for the works described as urgent, outside of public procurement, directly negotiated a price with the suspect Sotirovski that was many times higher than the market price," said the interlocutor of "Kurir".
On the order of the prosecution, the police have been conducting searches at several locations in Niš and surrounding areas since this morning.
