According to the statement, the suspects were arrested on suspicion of committing various criminal offenses on November 5, 2025, after a firearm was allegedly used inside the “Steak and Wine Bar” restaurant in the presence of numerous guests.
The arrests were carried out by members of the Internal Control Sector of Serbia’s Ministry of Interior (MUP), acting on the orders of the Special Anti-Corruption Department of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade. The suspects are accused of trading in influence.
Those arrested include D.N., commander of Rapid Response Unit 92, and J.S., the unit’s deputy commander. Team leaders N.S. and N.K. were arrested on suspicion of abuse of office.
The restaurant’s director, D.Ž., was arrested on suspicion of failure to report a criminal offense and its perpetrator and assisting an offender after the commission of a crime.
The suspects have been detained for up to 48 hours and will be brought in for questioning within that period.
Criminal charges have also been filed against S.V., who is already in custody in another case in which he is suspected of aggravated murder. In this case, he is suspected of causing general danger and illegal production, possession, carrying, and trafficking of weapons and explosive materials.
One additional suspect remains at large.
Investigators suspect that on November 5, 2025, between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., D.N., J.S., and the fugitive suspect used their official positions and influence to persuade N.S. and N.K. not to perform duties they were legally required to carry out.
According to the allegations, after being informed by an unidentified superior that a fight and shooting had occurred at the “Steak and Wine Bar,” they coordinated efforts to influence their subordinate team leaders by telephone, instructing them not to notify the crime-scene investigation team, not to secure the scene, not to collect evidence, not to inform the competent prosecutor, and instead to portray the incident as a verbal dispute and an ordinary bar fight.
Prosecutors further allege that D.N., instead of contacting investigators, called the head of the Voždovac Police Station and reported that only a routine altercation had occurred, omitting any mention of gunfire.
N.S. and N.K. are suspected of failing to notify investigators or the public prosecutor after learning that a shooting had taken place, failing to secure the crime scene, failing to collect witness statements, failing to complete required police documentation, failing to record the incident, and failing to undertake other legally required actions.
By doing so, they allegedly benefited S.V. by preventing criminal charges related to public endangerment and illegal weapons offenses from being filed, while also harming an individual known as “Runjo” by denying him the opportunity to exercise his rights as an injured party in court.
D.Ž., the restaurant director, is suspected of knowingly failing to report the crime despite witnessing it. Prosecutors allege he also helped conceal evidence by telling responding officers that a hole in the glass predated the incident and that no fight had taken place, only a verbal argument.
He is further accused of ordering employees to clean the scene, replacing a glass panel allegedly damaged by a bullet the following day, deleting surveillance footage by November 8, 2025, and later handing police a recorder containing only the deleted recordings.
S.V. is suspected of drawing a fifth-generation Glock 17 pistol from his waistband after a verbal dispute and physical altercation with a man known as “Runjo,” and firing the weapon inside the crowded venue. The projectile allegedly passed through a glass door. Authorities claim he did not possess a permit to carry the firearm.
The incident is reportedly linked to a dispute between “Boske” and Miloš Nilović, whom authorities have previously associated with the so-called Škaljari criminal clan.
“Boske” has been in custody since May 14, 2026, on suspicion of fatally shooting Aleksandar Nešović on May 12 and later concealing the body, which was allegedly found in a barrel buried near Jarkovac Lake.
