Vasiljević: Serbian Armed Forces also involved in the search for the body of A.N.

Vasiljević stated that in previous days a “Hyundai” vehicle was found, which is suspected to have been used by the arrested individuals. The vehicle contained numerous traces, including hydrochloric acid, gloves, and a hood that does not belong to that vehicle, as well as red stains suspected to be blood.

Speaking to TV Prva, Vasiljević said that the Serbian police, together with the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, are intensively working on clarifying a serious criminal offense, and that all resources of the Ministry and the police are directed toward the possible discovery of A.N.’s body.

Commenting on misinformation in certain media outlets, Vasiljević said that disinformation hampers police work because time is lost while correcting false claims, as was the case when some media reported that A.N.’s body had been found.

He appealed to the media to publish only verified information received from the Ministry of the Interior (MUP) or the prosecutor’s office.

It is suspected that A.N. was killed in a restaurant in Senjak on May 12, and 10 people have been arrested in connection with the case.

All arrested individuals have been remanded in custody, except for one woman, who has been placed under house arrest.

A former head of the Belgrade police has also been arrested and is currently in custody in connection with the case.
