New details on shooting at Belgrade Waterfront: Identity of the killed man revealed VIDEO
According to the latest media reports on last night’s drama at Belgrade Waterfront, the man who was killed last night on Hercegovačka Street is F.I. (33) from Cetinje.
According to media reports, the police immediately arrested Dj.Z. (21), on whom two pistols were found.
An international warrant had been issued for the Cetinje native after he escaped from house arrest at his Belgrade address on December 4, 2024, violently removing his electronic monitoring device at the time.
In Serbia, F.I. was on trial for assisting L.T. following the murder of B.M. in the Belville neighborhood, while Montenegro was seeking him on charges of creating a criminal organization and as an accomplice to murder and aggravated murder.
It is worth noting that F.I. was killed by a single gunshot to the forehead.
Just 200 meters from the crime scene, police arrested Dj.Z. (21), suspected of committing the crime. The Belgrade Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office ordered the police’s Criminal Police Directorate (UKP) to hold him for up to 48 hours.
Regarding the Belgrade Waterfront shooting, police are still searching for two other individuals who fled the scene in a car, Telegraf reports.
Dr. Violeta Nikolić from the Emergency Medical Service told RTS that the 35-year-old man was shot last night at 11:13 p.m. at Belgrade Waterfront.
"Our team could only confirm the death of a 35-year-old man," Dr. Nikolić said.
The shooting took place near the “Metropolitan” building, after residents of the complex reported gunfire.
A man armed with two rifles was arrested, and the police blocked off the entire neighborhood.
A video from the scene was shared on social media, showing one person lying on the concrete of a children’s playground.
