"They are building gas power plants that can produce over 1GW of electricity. It would greatly provide our electricity needs in the future if we built one such power plant," he said.

"There is a huge amount of money involved. If we were to build a gas power plant, it would secure our future. Another is the financing of expensive projects because everything we have to do on clean energy sources is all related to huge money. Everything is delayed everywhere and you have to provide balancing energy", emphasized Vučić.

According to him, the theme of this year's COP, in addition to creating peace in the world, is precisely green energy.

"If we are not able to create peace, what else can we talk about, but the topic is also the financing of these expensive projects because everything we have to do on green energy, a better environment, getting rid of fossil fuels, everything is related to huge amount of money, we are all late, everything is late everywhere, you have to provide balancing energy, which people don't need to understand, I just want to say that huge money is needed," said the President of Serbia.

Vučić said that the construction of a gas power plant with Azerbaijan is one of the ways to ensure ourselves, especially the security of gas supply if our partner is the Azerbaijani side.

As he stated, Serbia has been exporting energy for the last two months, but it must also think about importing because not only is winter coming, but also summer is coming, and this year in August for three days we spent more than on December 18, the day before Saint Nicholas, when the consumption is the highest.

"But people are used to it, their habits are different, the standard of living has improved, people want to have air conditioning, our industry is growing, we need more consumption of both gas and electricity," said Vučić.

As he says, the consumption of artificial intelligence, i.e. the arrival of artificial intelligence on the US continent, as well as the consumption of electric batteries and everything else, will lead to Americans exporting less and less to Europe.

He added that Europe will be able to buy from the USA for three more years, but that after that, it will have nothing because the Americans will spend on their own needs.

"They will even import, we all have to understand what's happening, we have to understand what's happening, that's why we need a contract with the Russians, with Azerbaijan, gas power plants, that's clean energy," stressed Vučić.

As he reported, it is being considered to build two of 350 or to try building one of one gigawatt.

"At any moment, if you have sufficient amounts of gas, you can have an energy capacity of one gigawatt, that is of great importance for us and we will have no more problems even in the next seven, eight, nine years, but we have to prepare for the following years because we're still developing and so it's important to start talking about nuclear modular reactors, and I'm not sure that at this point, even though we have wonderful smart people at Cern, Vinca, elsewhere, we have the knowledge and capacity to do that", said the president.

He added that one must also think about the import of knowledge and technology and that, as he pointed out, it should be done quickly.

When asked about the increase in the price of gas for households, he confirmed that the price will not increase.

"Thanks to the plan with Russia and Azerbaijan, we pay a lower price for gas," emphasized Vučić.

"For me, the big problem today is whether we will make it all the way to the Expo. It brings us growth, pensions and salaries are paid from it. We have to continue to increase them in the future, and for that we have to concentrate on work. As you can see. However, I knew very well how things were going, that's why I ask that everyone devote themselves to work, that we all move forward, because 2025 will be a decisive year in the world," said the President of Serbia.
