Inspection of construction works on the Primary School in Provo: “It will be beautiful”

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, as part of his visit to the Mačva District, inspected construction works on the “Jovan Cvijić” Primary School in the village of Provo, in the municipality of Vladimirci.

“Thank you for welcoming me to Provo. We have a lot of work to do here. The water supply is the biggest problem,” Vučić said, adding that resolving the issue would cost more than €7 million. Once the school is completed, he said, the water-supply system will also need to be repaired.

Vučić stressed that work on the roads would begin immediately, saying that the current condition was unacceptable.

“€3 million must be invested in roads in Vladimirci. In small communities, the money simply has to come from the state budget and be invested because they have no other source of funding,” Vučić said.

 

Inspection of works on the Slepčević–Badovinci Expressway: “We will open the section on December 19”

“More than 80 percent of the work has been completed, and all the works will be finished by December 19. We have never had any problems with Azvirt; they work like a Swiss watch. They are an exceptional company, and I am certain that this section will be opened by St. Nicholas Day.”

He said he also had good news for Loznica, Mačva and southern Srem:

“By September 1, the concession for the Pavlović Bridge will expire. From then on, it will become our property, and the crossing will be free of charge for all citizens.”
