The Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarović met today in Guangzhou with representatives of three Chinese companies from Sichuan to discuss possibilities for future cooperation and their potential investments in Serbia.
The companies involved are the world’s largest solar panel manufacturer “Tongwei Solar,” the leading commercial satellite data operator “Huantian Wisdom Technology,” and “Sichuan Ukylin Technology Ukylin,” a modern enterprise specializing in research, development, production, and sales of electric two-wheel vehicles.
“These large and successful companies from Sichuan Province came today to Guangzhou at their own request in order to hold important meetings with us and discuss details related to investment in Serbia. During a multi-day working visit to the People’s Republic of China, we will have a series of very important meetings and will work every day to secure new investments for our country, as well as to place our products on the Chinese market,” Mesarović wrote on Instagram.
The minister emphasized that opportunities for cooperation between Serbia and China are limitless thanks to the friendly relations between the two countries and the Free Trade Agreement.
Adrijana Mesarović arrived in Guangzhou on Monday, where she will hold a series of meetings with representatives of Chinese companies during her multi-day visit to China. She was welcomed at the airport by officials from Guangdong Province, as well as the Serbian ambassador to China Maja Stefanović.
During the visit to China from April 20 to 29, Mesarović will tour three provinces—Guangdong, Shandong, and Hebei—as well as six cities: Guangzhou, Foshan, Shenzhen, Jinan, Shijiazhuang, and Tianjin.
During organized conferences, meetings with more than 120 companies are planned, including over 90 companies mainly from the furniture industry. In addition, individual meetings with more than 15 companies will be held.
As part of the visit, meetings are also planned with more than 10 retail chains, stores, and distributors in the mentioned provinces, where Serbian wines will be presented. The Serbian delegation also includes representatives of five domestic wineries.
