Milutin Mrkonjic says he will never allow Kosovo independence if elected president. “It’s our duty to the Serbian people, tradition, the Constitution and the policies led by the socialists over the past century in defending Kosovo,” said the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) presidential candidate at a rally in Prilozje, where he is spending Christmas, announced the SPS. Socialist candidate on Kosovo Mrkonjic said that he wanted all the candidates to unite over the matter of Kosovo and to demand respect of Resolution 1244 which “many immature political opponents disparaged, but which now everyone is calling on.” “That’s all primarily thanks to one man and his patriotic attitude to the people and the country, and that is the former president of Yugoslavia, Slobodan Milosevic. When we win, it will be my personal debt to him.”
