After Brexit and Donald Trump's victory, the referendum in Italy was seen as fateful
Italy as well as the rest of the Southern EU members was always the weak link within the EZ club using the single currency for the following reasons:
1) The single currency makes Italian products uncompetitive
2) the monstrous public sector which has kept alive the old-school leftist culture whereby many people see the state as the ultimate employer.
3) the numerous wastes and inefficiencies and hyper-high taxation.
4) the huge underground economy.I don't mean only tax evasion but especially the hyper-huge underground economic activity which somebody says equals the GDP of the Netherlands.
5) the big, medium and small corporative interests that oppose real free market because they would lose power to hang on to their privileges they sacrifice the jobless or underpaid youth.
6) the completely unregulated immigration whereby,in addition to the original Italian underground economy, immigrants have created their own worlds and economies in Italy which are often completely off the book. There are neighbourhoods in Italy which are basically colonies of Romania,Albania,China,Bangladesh and South America. They also keep the youth out of work.Imagine a young Italian asking for a job in a Bangladeshi-run shop of a Bngladeshi area. They'll kick him out of the neighbourhood and even tell him "get out of my country".
The process of EU dissolution is now unstoppable.
