Boris Johnson is a buffoon who one day announces that Russia is fighting the terrorist in Syria but after being appointed as Foreign Secretary he wants organised protests in front of the Russian embassy over Syria. Is this guy in his right mind?

I think calling him a clown is not strong enough descriptions - he is an ambitious laughing stock.

Peddling a book about Churchill in Belgrade is a bit like peddling a book about Hitler in Tel Aviv.That idiot Churchill was responsible for giving the Serbian people 35 years of dictatorship and misery under the vile communist regime of Tito.That same Tito who tore up Yugoslavia into his "constituent" republics and prepared it for dismemberment after his all too belated death. They do have something in common (Johnson and Churchill that is),yes,they are/were both overweight posh boys and upper class twits. One on a bike and the other with an over-sized turd in his mouth. Vucic needs to court people with more kudos and Vladimir Putin is that type of guy. At least he has something relevant to say and won't come to promote a book. Pathetic!!

ummm... and then...

@twiddles.
you've described a 'human' politician. one who seems more approachable because he acts more like the rest of the plebs than the other masters of democracy. however, nowhere in that description do you support your claim of his intelligence. gwb was also a politican for the people. one would frequently hear him being described as a president any joe could enjoy drinking a pint of lager with, but no one suggested that he was intelligent, and no one was able to (or even attempted to) support such a claim.
now, you've made a claim about boris' intelligence, comparing it to new york state (not sure what that means exactly, but it seems to imply that it is large), but left it there.

sure, he's a nice guy. he does things that people find endearing. endearing things done by politicians tends to get the re-elected. so perhaps his "humanisms" are more about keeping his arse well fed, than they are about doing what is best for those he represents. if this is the case, then yes he's very smart, and those following him are to the contrary not at all, or he is all human and honest and exactly the portrait you painted -- but smartness was not in that picture.

Boris whether you like it or not, doesn't court the trappings of power, until recently he cycled to work, name me one politician in Serbia who gives up his official car, paid for by taxpayers I hasten to add! I don't agree with his politics at all, but I like how he connects with ordinary people. Again name me one politician in Serbia who connects with ordinary voters like he does.

Buy his book I'm sure it will be a fantastic read.

I think soon Republika Sarpska from Bosnia will united with Serbia due the fact in Bosnia the economy is very poor and huge unemployment .

If Serbs are smart they should find a way for get seea acces again

The most smart comment from this website for recent posts is that in 1999 Serbia had a weak Russia

Boris is alright. It's quite an important thing he is visiting so early in his job. Our relationship with the uk has been poor for a while now. A warming of relations can only be welcomed.

@ twindales

Please share with us the source of your wisdom that presents a failed politician and brexit supporter who changed his mind right after the vote as intelligent. I would be happy to provide links with his ridiculous statements, but my time is too expensive so google it yourself.

And while you are on it, explain to us why Serbs would be interested in buying a book written by this guy.
