A special case? Then explain the essence of the difference between the Kosovo KLA and the Basque ETA. Both are ethnic separatist movements who fight the state with violent means and acts of terrorism against state officials and institutions, and both see themselves as 'freedom fighters'. Well, okay, the connections to organized crime and drug trafficking are more prominent in KLA than in ETA.

It would be more than absurd when Spain is fighting ETA and recognizing a KLA state at the same time.

Spain would have recognized Kosovo long ago, had it not been for her internal issues.
