Slovaks ignore "state of Kosovo," respect UNSCR 1244

It's so sad when we see at various times countries like Slovakia, Spain and Cyprus act like bigger Serbs than Serbia. Of course 'kosovo'* is a fake state, but we've seen Serbia's own government treat it as something more all for the sake of EU integration. Which is pathetic because the EU is going through an existential crisis and will likely not take new members for at least another decade. To Serbia's government: stop letting other countries do your job for you while you cower from your own national interests for the sake of membership into a club that is dying as we speak.

Tell me why albanians have to negotiate ZSO if they are independent? Seems to me Kosovo is neither independent nor part of Serbia. Its an international protectorate which allowes each side to interpret things the way they want.

Each state should be represented by one minister of the interior... in the case of Serbia that can only be thre representative from Belgrade. Representatives from provincial or regional governments such as in Pristina can therefore not be allowed.

The montenegrins elected Dukanovic the same way the irakies elected Saddam or the Russians Putin. He has been in power one way or the other since 1991!!! To Ilit: Just because Brussels (I.e. Berlin) dictates that Belgrade should hold discussions with the provincial authorities in Pristina does not mean that Kosovo is independent from Serbia. The present authorities in Pristina are war-mongering, terrorist scum who know that they are only in power because it suits Germany's long-term goals in the Western Balkans. The Serbian government is quite rightly concerned about the safety of its citizens (irrespective of their ethnicity) who are resident in this province. Their willingness to negotiate with terrorists is, I agree, cause for concern but currently their best option. And do not think by any account, that all Europeans are in agreement with Brussels'/Berlin's attitude towards the province - many regard the so-called "independence" of Kosovo with distain.

Independent from Serbia. That's the distinction that really matters and that no Serb has the guts to admit. Totally dependent on the west; and that's OK for as long as the vast majority of the people in Kosova are OK with that. Given the choices, dependent on Serbia (hence in the Russian sphere of influence), versus dependent on key western countries like US, Germany, France and the UK and their sphere of influence; it is quite obvious what the majority of those living in Kosova feel it's best for their lives and their children's lives. The choice right now is to be dependent on those who killed us, or those who removed our killers by force. Not a hard choice to make. Total independence is far away (maybe another 5 decades) once the warmongers such as Nikolic, Vucic, Dacic, Kostunica and Irenjej have died off. The Serbian and Russian psyche are too bu++hurt for that to happen now. Not the ideal time to have a rational discussion with the actors mentioned above and hope they'd understand why the choice was made.
