Dear Dwight, here is a good starting point directly from the British parliament. Enjoy the read and follow the links.

The report does not say that the West started any war, it says that UK intervened in an existing war.
Qaddafi lost over 50% of Libya before NATO got involved.

Libyans citizens are not among the top 20 country of origin of refugee applicants with about 6000 applications in the EU last year.

Is Libya worse off now than in 2010? Yes
There are plenty of arguments against intervention but if you let your neighbors house burn, eventually your house will catch fire too.
The West will get dragged in eventually so it is better for the West to intervene on its own terms.

If the West had not intervened in Libya it would no doubt have been much worse and the West would be blamed anyway either for non-intervention or because of some secret CIA conspiracy theory.

Its a lose/lose situation for the West, no matter what the West does, there will be a queue of people waiting to criticise that choice. Perhaps you could provide some positive criticism, what would you do if you were in Camerons shoes?
Allow Qadaffi to kill 50000 civilians and then go back to business as usual? Shut down all trade with Libya? DO nothing and wait for ISIS to take over Libya? Tell us fake stories from the internet about how Qadaffi is great and gives people free electricity and anyone who disagrees is a terrorist?

So much drama in Serbia - in the PM's mind. In reality there is very little going on and things are quite boring, which is good. But more attention on real problems like unemployment, bad healthcare, a lack of reforms in education, would be nice. Although if he can't get two failing football teams privatized I guess he is pretty powerless.

" refugees coming from conflict zones in Libya, Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq, all wars that were started by the west"
(William UK, 19 September 2016 11:10)

If this is now the typical level of intelligence of the UK population then maybe UK is better off outside the EU.
Could you please explain how the Libya war was started by the West?
Could you also tell me how many Libyan citizens have applied to be refugees in the EU?

There are economic migrants and scammers, like the Albanians that had to be rescued off the British coast but most are refugees and many are heading to the UK, which is why we need to be out of the EU and control our borders while at the same time stop attacking and destroying countries.

Have you not seen the destruction in Libya, Syria, Iraq, etc??? Yes, they have mobile phones, and they had a home and car, furniture and a normal life until the west decided to cause chaos. It is human nature to seek the best possible refuge and I don't blame them, but I also understand Brits wanting them out. Like I said, it is Karma knocking on the door and if it destroys the EU, so be it.

They are not refugees but economic migrants and scammers. The Syrian war began 5.5 years ago, but suddenly last summer this big flood. And you also have many from countries where there wasn't war: Morocco, Tunisia, Bangladesh. And some where there really isn't anything but typical tribal skirmishes that's been going on for decades, like Pakistan.
The migrants all have iphones or similar and several thousands of Euros to make the trip - just the Turkish smugglers charge around 7 thousand Euros per person. The are mostly military-aged men and there have been some terrorists/militants among them, as well as ex-cons.
A refugee ceases being a refugee once they leave the first safe country they get to. They are even turning their noses up at countries like Hungary and Austria because they want the EU countries which give the most lavish benefits.

Put it this way, the migrant and refugee issue is what swung the vote on Brexit. This is just the beginning and I personally don't really care if the EU fails, the UK will come out stronger either way. We are leaving and that's what matters to me.

If you haven't been paying attention, Merkel is losing popularity rapidly due to her policy on migrants and refugees. The Eurosceptic parties are gaining lots of momentum.

Imagine that, the refugees coming from conflict zones in Libya, Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq, all wars that were started by the west, ends up destroying the EU! If Karma were present, that would be a perfect example.
(William UK, 19 September 2016 11:10)

1m refugees (0,2% of EU's population) will destroy the EU?! Come on mate, don't be ridiculous! There are other things that have a much higher chance to destroy the EU!

But, I agree with you that the West and the rest of the world is learning the hard way what happens when they kick the can down the road for way too long and let people like Ghedaffi, Sadam, Assad, the Taliban, etc do whatever they want with their people.

Same thing with North Korea. The more time passes and the worse will be North Korea's implossion that China will have to deal with. China is just kicking the can down the road, only making the inevitable worse.

Speaking about German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Vucic said that the possibility of her losing power next year after the elections in Germany would mean "the end of Europe and the European Union as we know it"
