Wrong. South Stream was stopped by Russia, because it didn't want to fulfill necessary EU conditions (independence of pipeline operator/distributor and gas producer, and free access for other potential producers).

Dude, check your facts.
Construction on the project was stopped on the 8th of June 2014 on the order of Bulgarian PM Oresharski. He was forced to do so because the EU launched an infringement procedure against Bulgaria.
Gazprom wanted construction to continue and encouraged Bulgaria to honor it's contract.

Maybe some people remember the same day when Putin stopped 'South stream' he presented a Memorandum to create a 'Turkish stream' (at this time Putin and Erdogan were best friends, like they are again now)

And there were some rumors that Russia was happy to have found an excuse for stopping this project, since after the steep drop of oil and gas prices it would have been an economical disaster.

Other rumors say EU blocked this project because, after the Ukraine crisis, Russia would have used it for bypassing the existing Ukrainian pipelines which are used for delivering of Russian gas to eastern Europe nowadays.

U.S definitely not involved??? Yeah Bull$@#t.
But this is what i have always been preaching. The U.S want to control the entire globe.
Militarily or economically. Scum bag imperialist corrupt garbage.

Well you could have told us that a lot sooner! There is still some anti-US sentiment in Serbia that stems from their offensive campaign. Building the relationship back to where it was, would have taken a huge step forward much sooner if it were widely known that the pipeline wasn't halted by the US. To think that we could have been focusing our discontent at the EU this whole time, what a waste. LOL!

Warlick is a liar. She obviously refuses to acknowledge the date the work on the South stream was suspended in Bulgaria coincided withUS senator's John McCain Chris Murphy and Ron Johnson meeting with the Bulgarian PM.
McCain, during the visit, commented they would want "less Russian involvement" in the project.
