The issue here is not "confrontation". The issue is that one party (Croatia) is habitually and as a matter of official state policy violating every norm of civilized behavior, every statutory obligation to the European Union, virtually every chapter of the UN Charter, every single article of the UN Declaration of Human Rights and every norm of simple decency, while the other (Serbia) is desperately trying to prevent such widespread, endemic human rights abuses both in Croatia and elsewhere in the Balkans.

Even larger issue here is why the EU is not reacting more prominently to such extreme Croatian terror tactics. The Brussels' conspicuous, appalling, silence is truly deafening and can only be construed as meaning one thing: we side with our member (Croatia), no matter what they do, no matter what they say, and no matter what threats they make against the Serbian national minority.

And then there is a fine print: what European Union is REALLY telling the Serbs is that they are not now, and will never be "Europeans", or possess any guaranteed human rights, either within or outside Serbia. It is, simply put, 1941 A.D. all over again.

Under such blatantly rigged and manipulated "rules" of international conduct, confrontational language might be the only thing that could attract EU's attention to the legitimate Serbian grievances. Because, without some serious shouting from Belgrade, Europe will continue to be blind, mute, deaf, numb, dumb and painfully clueless.
