Serbia defeat Croatia, win Olympic water polo gold

Congratulations to Serbia for getting the GOLD and smashing Croatia!
I thought it would have been a close game but the Croats were beaten with ease!

Here's what is sad...the Croatian broadcaster turned off their coverage of the water polo match right after Serbia won. They did this so that Croatia wouldn't have to watch Serbia's national anthem. They did the same thing this time last year when Serbia beat Croatia in the finals of the water polo world championship. But by doing so, they missed listening to their own country's national anthem played for the 2nd place team.

They would rather not listen to their own anthem if it means listening to the Serbian anthem. Not all Croats, but very many have this complex towards Serbs that they can't shake. I hope they get well. Congratulations Serbia!

I think that the reason is that Majlinda didn't claim to represent Serbia, so I don't know why the Serbian PM should congratulate her. I also doubt that she wanted him to. If you care to know, I congratulate her and every other Olympian for their individual achievements and fair play, and I am glad for anyone's hard earned success.

That’s exactly what you are, a good laugh. Serbs have never been obsessed with Croats and why would they be? Croats speak Serbian as there is no such thing as the Croat language. Right after WW1 the Croats adopted the Cyrillic form of writing which is Serb. Supposedly Croat traditions are all copies of Serb culture. You go to Dalmatia; that is all Italian tradition. You have NOTHING except a big mouth.
I have left the best for the last. When Croatia won against Turkey in football Croat fan were dancing the Kolo to the tune of Uziko Kolo. Croats never had anything worthwhile and never will, but like all good cowards you hide behind NATO, but even that will come to an end soon. Enjoy it while you can because Serbs now see that there is only one course of action with Croats.

Perhaps a visit to Croatia might stir up memories of Brazil. Croats are leaving Croatia at the rate of 10,000 per month permanently not becasue its too rich a life style, but due to very high unemployment there and no chance for a job.

I was a bit disappointed at the water polo final, not necessarily at the outcome but the lack of drama. The game was over by half-time with the Croats not being able to crack the Serbian defense. As a Croat, I congratulate the Serbian water polo team for their deserved victory.

Croatia couldn't block a boulder let along basketball or beach ball given Serbia's Olympic Basketball, Water Polo, Volleyball results. Politically Croatia tried to block Serbian trucks, that was short lived. You live in a make believe country where all culture and tradition is stolen from the Serbs, Austrian, Hungarian and Venetian empires.

The only team sport that Croatia has been able to beat Serbia recently is Football, and that is only at the professional level and that will change soon given the results of the U-18 and U-16 Serbian footballers who soon will replace the Serbian prima-dona's playing in Europe.
