Qatar, Azerbaijan & Turkmenistan This is why all war in Syria is there for pipe route.

(Bilbao, 11 August 2016 22:43)

Qatar sells gas at a 3 times higher price to Japan and Korea

Azerbaijan depends on Russia is a Russian satellite

Turkmenistan has no free gas as it was contracted by China for the next 20 years

There's only one place where Europe can buy cas while their own production is falling fast ...

Since no one wants Russian gas where is Europe going to get this energy from? Very interested to hear about it.

Azerbaijan & Turkmenistan are under Russian control plus most of the resources in Azerbaijan are already "spoken for". The war in Syria is about piping gas and oil from Iraq, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Quatar direct to the Mediterranean and thus bypassing Turkey.

The Syrian route has been closed off and Russia is the only one that has large enough quantities of gas available for EU needs.

The only way for Russia to provide the cheapest gas will be if they sell it below cost. Putin is desperate, that is why he is sucking up to Turkey and the UK. Sanctions are strangling Russia. Why else would Putin plead to revive the South Stream project. However, now there are many alternate sources available. Nobody needs Russia's gas and you know it.
(EU Citizen, 11 August 2016 03:43)

Where is Putin??,and didn't the Turk's request to come to Russia??
How stupid is your comments!!!
The next step, will be if Bulgaria or Romania beat the Turk's.
It look's like in EU ,you should of got a better education, then your fairy tale comment's))))
When will you Shqip's learn to think, before you comment!!!!

Funny way for Putin to suck up to Turkey in St Petersburg, shouldn't he be in Ankara?, but if you think that way it's fine.

In the current circumstances natural gas is a political and military tool rather than the economical one you know. That’s why Gazprom uses the moment of the falling gas production in Europe to seize the market. It's about 40% now. Russia made Turkey suck in every aspect. Hmeinin Base became eternal to control the region including Turkey. I know it’s hard for you to accept the new reality because you thought that Russia was dead. But it was a mistake that caused too much blood all over the world and it's time to start paying the old bills. That’s why people like you invent theories and make idiotic statements such as “ Putin is desperate, that is why he is sucking up to Turkey and the UK.” Sucker is the future role of the West in the world. Get some training already.

Like I always tell people, bombing Serbia was the worst thing NATO could have done. By contravening international law, they showed their intentions too quickly and brought about the rise of Putin. Or maybe, Monica Lewinsky did the Russians a favor by giving Bill Clinton a reason to shift attention away from his domestic problems at home and start a 78 day bombing campaign. Just a funny thought.

Either the South Stream or the Turkish Stream is inevitable. Market forces at play show that the cheapest gas will come from Russia. The EU and U.S. are powerful enough to obstruct and delay it, but it will come.

They already do, militarily. With energy will be next. What else is there to make them crawl and beg for forgiveness? Hitting Putin with sanctions was the worst mistake they've made after bombing Serbia for 78 days and giving birth the Kosovo* stillborn.

First 6 months of this year and gas consumption in EU is falling ..as in the last years.. still difficoult to understand the logic of any "New stream"...

(Luigi, 10 August 2016 13:46)

Very simple my friend ! Gas production in Norway , Holland and north of Britain is falling much faster than consumption to say nothing that Balkans has no direct and reliable routes. Bandit Ukraine tried to terror Crimea this week and you can expect anything from them during their started agony.

when the eu gets desperate for gas, they'll start feeding the kosovars mexican beans and stick a pipe up their arses with balloons at each end in exchange for imaginary independence.

Reduction of gas consumption is an indicator that economic conditions are showing signs of slowing down, but you don't wait until they start on the up swing to commence construction. If this pipeline is not built it could well impede economic expansion as conditions improve.

The EU needs available plenty of cheap energy that would move their economies away from recession and Russia is the only one that can supply those quantities. Forget US supplying as that is a fairy tale not even a 5 year old, except Joe Biden, would believe nor delivering gas to Krk, Croatia, since that requires piping from Azerbaijan.

Like it or not Russia will control Europe.
