Serbia "will never be on verge of bankruptcy again"

Serbia will never be on the verge of bankruptcy again, Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday.

If Serbia had declared bankruptcy, the standard of living for the average person would improve for at least the medium term, perhaps the long term. instead, a terrible trade deficit exists, young people are unemployed for their best years, and will not be in a position to aid the economy in the foreseeable future. Austerity merely drags out the short term suffering people would face, had they lived through a bankruptcy. Austerity only helps the banks.
