C'mon guys? Romania's GDP 5 times bigger than Serbia's. Bulgaria's and Croatia's GDP also bigger than Serbia's by 20-30%. How do you want to lead from the back of the queue? Not to mention Hungary's GDP 3.5 times bigger also, though not a Balkan state itself. To lead you need economy of scale what Serbia is lacking. Stop fooling yourself.

Have you ever been to Romania Bulgaria or Croatia? I suggest you go there then talk about GDP. Its funny how overnight upon joining the EU your GDP quadruples just like the level of unemployment drops LOL.

Croatia's only real source of income is tourism and that is 3 months of the year and yet they have a higher GDP than Serbia. On paper Croatia's average salary is 700 Euros per month in reality its 250.

Take time out and go to these countries. Then talk about GDPs.

The EU beast will not disintegrate it will morph. It will become worse then Nazi Germany. The EU bureaucrats has been politicians and bank-shysters. Will fight tooth and nail to keep the gravy train going fore them self's. The ordinary majority people will be their on their No 1 enemy hit list. Because they refuse to be taxed to death by incompetent criminal morons. Reminds me of Serbs and Serbia when they filled incompetent them self's in to the communist bureaucracy of Yugo. Triple in to communist bureaucracy then their numbers warranted. When their gravy train stopped running they went absolutely berserk. Murdering, stealing, raping and the likes the EU BS will react the same and much worse. The American revolution started against British control because the British raised their taxes to 6%, in Europe in some country's is at 70% and ever going up. Time to kick the bums out and have some guts.

"Does Serbia have the strength to remain a leader in the region?

- Leadership depends on Serbia itself, on what it will be guided by, and what it will offer to others. If Serbia were to follow its fate toward the East, it really could play a leading role in the region."

Euro the currency is a complete failure.

Iagree.EU governments are broke and they are at their debt limits now. They have only been able to keep the train on the tracks by manipulating the bond markets. They have been trying to fight the deflationary cycle with crazy money printing, bond & equity buying and have only succeeded in destroying the markets with false signals. They are still coming up with crazy schemes such as abolishing money. This is all about control and forcing you to keep your money in the banks, this gives the state the opportunity to take it at a moments notice.Only recently Merkel has told the Italian premier Renzi that the EU won’t allow the Italian state to bail out the Italian banks in trouble with NPL to the tune of 360 billion euros and instead Italy should follow Cyprus example ie Bank deposit confiscation. We are moving into a time where our freedoms and liberties are going to be restricted by the state because they want to get the hands down the back of your couch for any change they might find.In 1995 there was 40 trillion dollars worth of debt, today we have 200 trillion, this is a debt crisis. My hunch is if anything would ever happen to the euro–we all, would be holding the bag,as a trigger would be enough to bring the global debt edifice tumbling down–on allof us.This is why they all will play musical chairs as long as possible, they will lie, break the word and the spirit of any law necessary, because if the music ever stops.Mayhem will ensue.

There have been more than 20 years since we started witness to EU disintegration. And more than 15 years to Euro failing.

UK (if there will be one) will be just like Norway or Switzerland. Which means... has to comply with all EU rules but has no vote in EU. So much about "disintegration".

If the Single Market will fail than EU will fail. And i don`t see any EU country wanting out of Single Market. Since then, keep witnessing EU disintegration.

The disintegration of the EU has started and will only continue. The centralisation, the federalisation of the EU, which has been rejected by referendum a few times but still being pushed forward, will mark its death. There are quite a few candidates ripe for leaving, especially after the refugee crisis and terrorism that has followed.

I think it is obvious to many observers that the shift of power is moving eastwards. If Turkey was to dump NATO and align with Russia and China, that would probably start the disintegration of NATO.
