Get a copy of a book called Hitler's Pope by John Cornwell, a Catholic who embarked on writing a book to prove that Pope Pius XII was not on the Nazi's side. What two Nazi collaborators did Serbia rehabilitated? Milan Nedic has not been rehabilitated and General Draza Mihailovich was not a collaborator. He received the Legion of Merit from U.S. President Harry Truman for his sacrifice to the resistance. And Charles De Gaulle who led France's resistance begged and pleaded with Draza to come to Paris after the war and instead he chose to die honorably in his country.

The communists labeled anyone that was against them a collaborator but the facts speak differently. Draza organized the first anti-nazi guerrilla army in all of Europe. And Loznica was the first city which was liberated in ex-Yugoslavia, liberated by the Chetniks. Yes, and Jasenovac was really an all-inclusive resort disguised as a concentration camp. That way the Croatians were able to help and save Serbs, Jews, and Roma by making it look like a death camp, but inside the gates were swim up bars, and all you can eat/drink bracelets for the resort. After WW1 it was the Croats that begged the Serbs to join Yugoslavia, in fact a man by the name of Ante Pavelic was part of that delegation to Belgrade. When Croats found out that they were not going rule Yugoslavia then Pavelic wanted independence.
I also love that part about how Serbs managed to oppress Croats between 1918 and 1940 to the point it forced Croats to establish concentration camps during WW2.
I find it humorous about partisans were first established by Croats LOL. Those partisans were Serbs trying to get away from murderous Croatians. I suppose all those Serbs that ended up in a pit or murdered in jasenovac committed mass suicide.

Stepinac, along with his bishops. agreed with 1/3 of Serbs to be killed, 1/3 converted to Catholicism and 1/3 forced out. At that time the Catholic Church was a very powerful organisation in Croatia and as the head of the Church he could have openly distanced himself from Pavelic without any consequences, but he did not. Hundreds of Croat monks and priests were in the Ustahi movement and Stepinac was well aware what was going on – you don’t reach the position of cardinal because you are stupid.
Stepinac was following the Vatican’s ideology of bringing back to the fold the “Orthodox schismatics” by any means.

Then you will see the drop in serb partizans who instead sided with chetnik nazi collaborationists until late 1944/1945 when the chetniks were defeated by the partizans, and the nazis were on the verge of defeat, and Tito allowed the chetniks in to the partizans. You will see a steady growth in partizans from all former yugoslave republics from 1941 through 1945, except the serbs and that's because most where chetniks and sided with the nazis until late 1944. Ari, where are you getting your information from? chetniks were nazi and italian collaborators starting 1941.

You didn't answer my question. Where is the link or what books are you getting your information about all these great battles and wins the chetniks had over the nazis to liberate all these towns? Not sure by what you mean by liberated. Do you mean after the italians capitulated and the nazis gave the chetniks more policing powers?

sj and Ari, yes the partizans were first formed in Croatia by Croatians and yes, serbs made up roughly 25% of all partizans across entire former yugoslavia in 1941 until they were defeated in late 1941 and Tito was pushed back in to Bosnia. Then you will see the drop in serb partizans who instead sided with chetnik nazi collaborationists until late 1944/1945 when the chetniks were defeated by the partizans, and the nazis were on the verge of defeat, and Tito allowed the chetniks in to the partizans. You will see a steady growth in partizans from all former yugoslave republics from 1941 through 1945, except the serbs and that's because most where chetniks and sided with the nazis until late 1944. sj, Then why is the Vatican canonizing Stepinac? It's because he saved thousands, not killed them. Yeah maybe to your point he should have instead kicked hitler right in the chin to show him how wrong he was. That would have helped save people? He used his position smartly and saved who he could and spoke up when he had to which almost cost him his life several times.
