Croatia is acting exactly like the Greeks act with Macedonia. They're in the club and now enjoy bullying the smaller players.

Remember what Hitler tried to create & rule over Europe. It's déjàvu only much more diplomatic with unelected rulers controlling the puppets.

Balkan countries thinking they're all that. To those saying Croatia is on the brink of economic collapse...the Croatian gdp growth was 2,7% in the 1st quarter of 2016. Serbia is not even close to that and it is equally in debt.
Secondly, this "blockade" could not stand if Croatia was the only country blocking, because it doesn't have souch clout.
Thirdly...if Serbia doesn't want to join the EU, the solution is easy...withdraw from negotiations. Nobody is forcing anybody to join.

To say the least you are not very bright. It’s Vucic that has made statements that imply that Belgrade’s stance puts pressure back on Brussels not me.
Always remember that Vucic is an ultra-nationalist and his coat will never change. He may appear to lean towards the EU, but its what he wants them to think and while investment comes to Serbia he will sing the EU song, but as soon as it stops all bets are off.
Let me know when Serbia recognises Kosovo and tell me who is in denial mate. How much has been invested in Kosova to date?
Psst, we are now dealing with a EU.

The condition is to renounce regional jurisdiction for war crimes, and provide greater rights for the Croat minority in elections.

An obvious solution for both criteria is a Serbia- Croatia reunification to enable a truly national jurisdiction for war crimes, as well a one reunified parliament that provides for the best possible proportional representation for Croats. Problem solved.

Who cares about Croatia, they are making themselves look bad. They are falling apart while Serbia is growing in economy and everything.

As always, Croatia is hiding under Mama Germany's skirt. Germany needs to lift the skirt a little, kick out the little brat and then send her to the corner for a brief meditation session. Otherwise, German government will be complicit in this transparent and silly Croatian ruse which does not serve Germany, does not serve Europe and definitely does not serve Croatia.

The year is 2016, not 1991, Croats. Wake up and smell the 21st century.

In an interview with Radio Sputnik Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said that even in the worst-case scenario of many EU countries exiting the bloc and Britain falling apart, Serbia would not give up on the idea of European integration.

Yawn.

Who cares.

Here is what Serbia should do.

Establish each July, September, January, and March months as:

"Boycott Croatian Goods"

Jugoslavija

Who cares, Croatia is on the brink of Economic collapse while Serbia surprisingly is shaving of its debt and GDP is rising. Vucic deserves some recognition, he is doing some things right. The EU can only survive with trading blocks and revision of monetary policy.

"Belgrade's stance towards these talks are if you want we will join but if you think you are going to play games see you later. It puts back the pressure on Brussels."
(sj)

Nope, Belgrade stance is" Vucic won't do a referendum. The opposite of "see you later".

Serbians are no longer interested in joining the EU
(Zoran)

Nope, they elected Vucic just two months ago.

There is a term for people who live in denial that sj knows about :). What is that term sj?

That's great news. Serbians are no longer interested in joining the EU so all obstacles are welcome. Membership is being forced upon us in an undemocratic manner, which is typical of the EU. I think it will be more entertaining watching the ship sink.

The EU has become a dumpster fire, and Brussels has to put it out before they throw more countries into the dumpster. I think unwittingly, the Croatian government is doing the average Serbian a big favor.

No Paris, no Berlin, no Washington wants a Russian Trojan Horse in the EU. It is simple as that. Croatia has the task to block Serbia.

Ari Gold

Then those countries would have blocked Serbia themselves. Oh yea I bet they are frightened to do so, and they stand behind mighty Croatia to take care of it. In the end, Croatia will cave and capitulate. And that makes me sad. Because after Serbia liberated Croatia in two world wars, the least Croatia can do is keep Serbia from joining the sinking titanic.

I must say that i have always thought that Croatia's position was well support by some other "silent" countries ...my suspect go to the Russophobic ones and some of the poorer Eu member state that will loose money from Serbia's admittance to the club..

Poor Tom Oreskovic. To use his words this morning on Dnevnik HRTV, Croatia is in a very poor economic position and life for Croats is getting harder and harder, so out comes this new diversion for the poor old sods LOL. Latest news is the World Bank has told Croatia no more loans, if they want more money they have to seek it from Croatian banks. For the uninitiated, that is not good news at all. It shows how bad the situation has become in Croatia, but I'm sure the Serbs will be blamed.

Once again its a diversion for their populace.
