It is unlikely that Serbia will ever join NATO.

1. There is no compelling interest to do so.

2. Serbs have long memories and don't forgive and forget quite so easily.

I do know that these comments are read by outsiders to gauge the unity on an issue such as this one. Let me put it this way, the Serbian people are well aware of what NATO is and what it has done. They are not the brainwashed rabble from the US.

It will take a very, very long time for trust to be built by the Serbs towards the west. It may take 3 generations.
