Serbian FM: EU now has other worries

I am happy that progress is being blocked. Serbians are no longer interested in joining this failing union, that's why Vucic said no referendum. It is a sinking ship and we have been saying it for a while. People are just starting to realise now.

If you can see behind the news, you find that Serbia's EU membership bid has been stopped indefinitely because of its reluctance to join to EU's sanctions against Russia and letting Russia to have a military base in Serbia. It was a joint decision by Brussels and Washington and the task was assigned to the Croats to block the process. This happened when Vucic had to cancel his trip to Washington and Brussels.

After BREXIT, and calls from politicians in France and the Netherlands to hold a referendum on an exit from the EU, and considering the financial problems in Greece and Italy, it is clear the EU and Euro are a sinking ship.

I no longer support Serbia's pursuit of membership in the EU and call on Serbian lawmakers to reconsider the effort and expense.

Then more Serbs should be protesting the government and all the agreements it has already made with the EU that are harmful to Serbia. They should at least pressure the government to suspend talks for a year.
