"Lenard, this has nothing to do with Serbia frankly. Vova is most likely trying to draw a comparison between the USSR previous experience in feeding its East satellite countries and the EU experience in subsidizing the same countries' weak economies and financial meltdowns."
(Drymades, 24 June 2016 23:03)

Eh? USSR 'feeding' the Warsaw pact countries? You must mean ripping them off, like they did with East Germany, for example? The only country the USSR was subsidizing might be Cuba, which would have collapsed 40 years ago without USSR helping it. But this was of strategic military importance.

This is just sour grapes from Putin because Russian athletes have been banned from this summer's Olympics in Brazil. It is because of doping by Russian athletes in the previous Olympics. Isn't it ironic that there will be more Albanian athletes from Kosova than those from Russia, participating in Brazil this summer.
(The Count of Kosova, 26 June 2016 20:28)

Very ironic, but Russians don't field athletes in events such as pick pocketing and shop lifting.

We have friends who have children living and working in the UK and they convey the same message that Brits do not want to feed or subsidize poorer economies. They see their taxes bring given to Brussels and getting nothing in return while they live hard.
They do not want to take any more “refugees” and want eastern Europeans to leave as they see them holding down jobs that Brits should be doing, despite the fact that these jobs would not be done by Brits.
Another problem is crime associated with many of these people such as Albanians, Africans and other Middle eastern groups.

(Lenard, 24 June 2016 19:46)

If anybody knows about going down royally it's you Lenard.

Considering the pressure that the RF is under these days from the West, these are sober and thoughtful words from Putin and are much appreciated.

LENARD : That is why Russia ripped-off Serbia gave only for company's 1/3 of their true value etc.

My compassions over the Brexit ... Hope you are drunk. At least I would drink if they took my favorite toy. How will you be teaching Serbs now or how will you be twisting them hands? Be strong as time treats the pain.

By the way how do you know about the deal? Maybe Serbs prefered to have the remaining 2/3 with missiles or some other metal?

Lenard, this has nothing to do with Serbia frankly. Vova is most likely trying to draw a comparison between the USSR previous experience in feeding its East satellite countries and the EU experience in subsidizing the same countries' weak economies and financial meltdowns. One can argue that Yugoslavia was in the same position, it was the same failure, something a rather strong and wealthy country like our mighty Croatia, couldn't allow any longer. I think Croatians, Slovens, and Serbs, are those who can understand what exactly is Vova hinting at.

The reason behind their decision, Putin said on Friday, is that "no one wants to feed and subsidize poorer economies, to support other states, support entire nations." That is why Russia ripped-off Serbia gave only for company's 1/3 of their true value etc. Russia playing with Serbia royally. With friend like that and Serbs being so death, blind and dumb. Serbia will go down royally.
