I think it won't happen - because UK will stay in the EU.
I believe that even if the popular vote will support BREXIT, they will find the way to "fix" the vote.

BTW: my personal interest is very strongly that UK would stay where it is.
I am not impartial at all.

SJ - have you been to the UK recently? The Britain you talk about has long gone - and is only in the minds of a small minority usually in UKIP. Most people do not crave for some glorious past. Although I disagree with their interpretation of the EU and Britain's place in it. You must realise your history first. It was Napoleon who first tried to stop Britain trading with continental Europe, and Portugal was the only country who would trade with us until Napoleon once again put pressure on them not to do so. Therefore Britain looked elsewhere for trade - I guess this has always been in our makeup - Britain. And yes Germany needs the UK believe it or not. Otherwise the EU will become a club of losers. Because if UK leaves we won't be the first to go trust me.

Great Britain exists!

Great Britain is the largest of the British Isles, a geographical term that's also used to describe a country.
Scotland, England and Wales are located on the larger island.
UK, is The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Do not confuse Great Britain as 'Great' Britain, as is the case in the campaign in the UK.

MEP's from all countries and persuasions monitor the activities of the parliament, each have there own national agenda and 'clubs' are formed. The real work is done higher at ministerial level, once agreements are reached the MEP's get to feel important by discussing it!

Do not underestimate UK's role and influence at ministerial level. The concessions that caMORON came back with might not seem of any consequence on the surface, it's how they are implemented. Also, what was discussed behind closed doors usually takes a while to filter through.

What the RN as to do with the topic I don't know, gunboat diplomacy doesn't work in the EU :-)

Finally, it's not just Brits that are disillusioned with the present state of the EU. A large part of the European population are also fed up. National governments are fearful of the resentment and also of upsetting the benefits received.

The answer is reform.

I don’t have any problem with the UK but some of its citizens actually believe there is a Great Britain.
Yes the UK sits at the table but so do all the others and its Germany that runs thing mate. The UK monitors nothing but politicians like to feed you that line so if it makes you feel nice and warm keep on thinking that Great Britain exists.

Every dead body in uk must have an autopsy report.David Kelly's body still awaits one.
(gotsefromohrid, 21 June 2016 09:31) #

No. A doctors certificate will suffice for natural causes.
Post mortoms, conducted by hospital, let's say post surgery, can be carried out to establish cause. Nothing sinister.

A coroners request for autopsy, which I believe your referring to, is for the benefit of the court for suspicious/unnatural causes.

David Kelly is a sad case. A autopsy report was presented to the coroner, but for reasons, details are being kept out of the public domain. Blair needs locking up.

Better to fight the establishment from in tha out anyway.

The UK's contribution is massive, and the EU president himself said as much.
He is also quoted as saying 'Europe needs the UK more than the UK needs Europe'

Germany is the powerhouse of Europe, and as such we need to at the same table to monitor her ambitions.

I don’t care whether the UK stays or leaves. The very fact that you see yourself as a part that the EU cannot do without is your very problem. It’s called hubris or delusional.
It’s the same as stating that the US needs the Marshal Islands more than the other way around. That is the problem I have been talking about – your pollies have been feeding you Great Britain crap for so long the people actually believe it.
If you recall the recent “concessions” given to the UK by the EU and lauded by David Cameron, well that was 100% pure BS. They threw a couple of bones and Cameron lauded them as New York cut steak. If the UK could survive outside it would mate.
The money London currently gives is really not that great. Yes it contributes but not to the extent your politicians carry on about.
The only military power the UK has is called spin mate. The UK could not fight 3 kilometres outside its borders so stop deluding yourself. As I said this is 2016 not 1816.
Let me repeat. It’s Germany that rules the EU waves not the UK. You guys are turning into another US where people believe all sorts of crap.

Nigel Farage far right?
Support of the uneducated masses?

EU better off without the UK?

Opinions are fine, but yours are a little hysterical.

The UK will not leave the EU regardless of the vote on Thursday.
The referendum is merely to gauge people's feelings. I mean, you can't have the uneducated masses dictating state policy can you? It's the United Kingdom, not some newly democratic (fascist?) state in East and South East Europe!

The EU needs the UK, and not just financially. The UK is influential enough to keep Germany in check, without her German policy would rampage unchecked.

Other member states are also dismayed with the Brussels governing body, most are to weak to counter it.

The UK will remain, Europe will be grateful, and hopefully the fear of this referendum will finally make Brussels more accountable.

You can thank us later, though we won't hold our breath!

Mr Farage, a low level far right populist whose main clients are the uneducated and the failures of life, expresses nothing but wishful thinking, with his "estimations" being based on the rise of nazi political vehicles around Europe.

In this sense nazi-friendly Croatia can also go (but they will not), nazi-friendly Hungary can also go (but they will not) and many other countries who would like to have the benefits of EU Membership but without the obligations.

UK was never at the core of EU (it is a country mostly used by the US to promote US interests) and, honestly, EU is better off without UK. Good luck exiting EU, and please stay out.

Whoever wants to leave the EU should leave immediately.

Here is an idea next time the Russians or Chinese get out of hand get the Admiralty to send in the naval flotilla to put them in their place LOL.

Is the CE of B92 forums sj commanding Russians or Chinese to get out of hand (whatever that means)? And, in any case, why would Admiralty care about that? Or is that a command of the CE of B92 forums sj, as well?!

P.S. CE = Chief Economist

G'day Mate. Guessing that your resident of Oz judging from your language.

Delusional? Naw.

I am all for out until the EU reforms and becomes more accountable and transparent. At present its a political and bureaucratic nightmare.

It won't happen though, regardless of the campaign in the UK I believe the Remain group will win.

The UK as probably affected your life at some stage and as left you bitter, understandable considering our interference over the years.

However, as stated before, love us or hate us, we do have influence and counsel is always sought.

I think it won't happen - because UK will stay in the EU.
I believe that even if the popular vote will support BREXIT, they will find the way to "fix" the vote.

BTW: my personal interest is very strongly that UK would stay where it is.
I am not impartial at all.
