"It's Russia, not Serbia, standing in way of Kosovo in UN"

Russia has specifically stated that it will do what is in the interests of the Serbian people, implying it will not do what the Serbian government requests. Russia will not allow another Montenegro where its NATO membership is pushed by the government against the will of the people.

So by insisting that Kosovo must join the UN as part of Serbia's EU membership, it takes control out of the hands of the EU and Serbia and places it firmly in the hands of Russia and China.

Russia understands full well that recognition of Kosovo is overwhelmingly against the wishes of citizens in Serbia.

"As long as Belgrade has a partner in the (UN) Security Council, we will be forced to reach a legally binding agreement that will allow us to join the UN."

Doesn't that just suck? Being forced to follow the law.

There is China too. Unlike Serbia which will capitulate to be in EU Russia and China have no reason to.

It took nearly 10 years for one of them to figure out what's painfully obvious to everyone else? Hoxhaj must have spent some time studying abroad to be this intuitive.

Russia is going to trade in Kosovo for Crimea. They dont care about Serbia or Serbs. They dont care about their own people, why would they care about some far away country.

Why would the US or the west backstab Ukraine for Kosovo? Some Albanians here are just dreamers thinking Crimea will be traded.

Firstly, Russia has full control over Crimea without any foreign force occupying that territory. Crimea is not seeking independence, it is already an established part of Russia and Russia is already a recognised permanent member of the UN and UNSC. World maps are already being updated to reflect this reality.

Russia has everything it needs regarding Crimea and for Kosovo to join the UN, it needs agreement from both Russia and China. If Serbia joins the EU, it will be with Kosovo out of the UN. The EU is in a poorly position at the moment with all of the crises going on.

Firstly, Russia has full control over Crimea without any foreign force occupying that territory. This is the dream of 95% of population in Kosovo, but UN is not everything Taiwan is not in UN will never be in UN and they have better standert of living than all countries in Balkans. Kosovo does not need to be in UN.

Kosovo needs:

1. to clean corrupt politicians.
2. start utilizing young educated people, giving them a chance.
3. improve rule of law ( in applying the laws they already have).

In the north build in the sun hill homes together with Serbs and make 1 Albanian home and 1 Serbian Home, build 1 orthodox church, Catholic Church and Mosque.

People in this neighbourhood go to a Special school where Albanian kids and Serbs go together get to play sports together from kindergarten.

Serbs get to keep their educational plan from Serbia but they get to learn Albanian, and Albanian same thing but get Serbian language class.

This is how you work to build trust, and move together to better future.

Both Albanians and Serbs are hostage to this silly game politicians play, flare up people's emotions anytime there is pressure on economy and standard of life.

When Albania declared its independence there were many people (some of them Serbian) calling it "Artificial creature" and "Stillborn country".

Few years later Yugoslavia was born too. There were many optimistic people about this new big powerful country.

More than 100 years later the History showed us very well which was "an artificial creature and stillborn country". Yugoslavia was twice created and twice ended up with genocides by its own people against its own people.

Of course, there is no easy way for Kosovo in the future, but Kosovo has had much much more hard times, including WWI Serbian genocides, Pasic's ethnical cleanising, Rankovic's "Brotherhood and Unity" terrorism and Milosevic's terrorist-genocidal ethnical cleansing war. And during all these oppressions, poverty was always always there.

Reading comments from Albanians it is obvious that none live either in Albania or Kosovo. We are getting a large number of Albanians tagging along with refugees and migrating to the UK by boat, crossing the channel. It is very easy to cheer all those people struggling in Kosovo and Albania while living in the west.

What happened to Yugoslavia was a disaster and it was largely caused by the US and Germany to divide and conquer that region. Keep arguing and stay underdeveloped, then you are much easier to control.. a simple rule for Albanians.

Serbia is a little more complicated since it is making deals with Russia and China. The west doesn't like that.

Why would I visit Belgrad when I can visit our second capital Tirana? To go to Serbia, I need a passport to cross the borders. To go to Albania I only need my drivers licence. A lot has changed, Its just, you cant see it or you choose to ignore it.

If you do decide to visit Belgrade, you should know that you can take a Serbian Railways train from Kraljevo to Kosovska Mitrovica and the only paper you require are dinars to pay the fare. Two trains run regularly every day.

This is the dream of 95% of population in Kosovo, but UN is not everything Taiwan is not in UN will never be in UN and they have better standert of living than all countries in Balkans. Kosovo does not need to be in UN.

Kosovo needs:

1. to clean corrupt politicians.
2. start utilizing young educated people, giving them a chance.
3. improve rule of law ( in applying the laws they already have).

In the north build in the sun hill homes together with Serbs and make 1 Albanian home and 1 Serbian Home, build 1 orthodox church, Catholic Church and Mosque.

People in this neighbourhood go to a Special school where Albanian kids and Serbs go together get to play sports together from kindergarten.

Serbs get to keep their educational plan from Serbia but they get to learn Albanian, and Albanian same thing but get Serbian language class.

This is how you work to build trust, and move together to better future.

Both Albanians and Serbs are hostage to this silly game politicians play, flare up people's emotions anytime there is pressure on economy and standard of life.

When Albania declared its independence there were many people (some of them Serbian) calling it "Artificial creature" and "Stillborn country".

Few years later Yugoslavia was born too. There were many optimistic people about this new big powerful country.

More than 100 years later the History showed us very well which was "an artificial creature and stillborn country". Yugoslavia was twice created and twice ended up with genocides by its own people against its own people.

Now we hear the same thing about Kosovo. "Artificial creature and stillborn country".

Of course, there is no easy way for Kosovo in the future, but Kosovo has had much much more hard times, including WWI Serbian genocides, Pasic's ethnical cleanising, Rankovic's "Brotherhood and Unity" terrorism and Milosevic's terrorist-genocidal ethnical cleansing war. And during all these oppressions, poverty was always always there.

So will Kosovo survive poverty without oppression after she survived oppression and poverty combined? I think, the chances are in her favour.

Reading comments from Albanians it is obvious that none live either in Albania or Kosovo. We are getting a large number of Albanians tagging along with refugees and migrating to the UK by boat, crossing the channel. It is very easy to cheer all those people struggling in Kosovo and Albania while living in the west.

What happened to Yugoslavia was a disaster and it was largely caused by the US and Germany to divide and conquer that region. Keep arguing and stay underdeveloped, then you are much easier to control.. a simple rule for Albanians.

Serbia is a little more complicated since it is making deals with Russia and China. The west doesn't like that.

I'm glad that you recognize your first capital as Belgrade. I'm not familiar with second, or other inferior, capital city designations. If you do decide to visit Belgrade, you should know that you can take a Serbian Railways train from Kraljevo to Kosovska Mitrovica and the only paper you require are dinars to pay the fare. Two trains run regularly every day.
