There is nothing more sad, than a self-hating man who chooses to pretend to be of a different nationality, just to feel better about himself. This "Greek" guy down here is as Greek as President Obama.

Shhhht Qerime, Karipidis Karipidis, but you know what happens to the scum when Karipidis gets angry right? Operation 'Broom', Qerime. What about that other Karipidis Dimitris Avramopoulos, Qerime? Shhht, you need Karipidis Qerime, that Karipidis, this Karipidis here couldn't care less about you. Can't do nothing re: Qerime's humble origins. This conversation ends here, chatty Qerime.

Mr karipidis..I am sure I can change your opinion with less than 300 eVros. You can do miracles in the areas where cheese producing is not profitable anymore; with that amount. It was more than to add an "s" at the end of your name; right karipidis?

Likewise, sports’ widespread popularity in Kosovo is due in no small part to the emphasis (money, basically) former Yugo authorities put on sports, obviously. Oops, I did it again, said something everybody knows but no one admits… maybe.

Yep, former Yugo authorities gave money to Majlinda Kelmende(twice World champ, and twice European champ) before she was even born. You need to see a shrink, body.

Of course Qerim, I am a Greek. Of course I mentioned only Nina on purpose and I didn't mention Avni. Hey, fortunately Avni is among us stronger than ever while the late Nina lives on in the memories of her beloved students. Have you ever personally known Avni or any of those legendary Albos, Qerim? I can talk for hours on Avni and his generation. A unique sense of humor which I guess they all further developed when offered the opportunity to study in Moscow or Saint Petersburg.Legendary because there is not a single daughter, son, or student of that generation who doesn't laugh tears recalling their jokes on Hoxha & Co., their promptly replies, their irony. Bowing obviously to their professional success. Former Kosovo students have known some of them. Rest assured they're proud to have been their students. It is my understanding that you never had that opportunity and this is why you basically grew up as a rather boring and lazy soul. I didn't, I have always been under pressure, they all loved Ruskies, I found these Belgrade guys who sang 'Maljciki'. Which only made that generation smile and tell me that they have already had the time of their life enjoying jazz in Moscow while me & my friends were born singing to the farmer's cup of milk. Calm down man, I obviously love Avni.

She was named after her father his name backwards.
Avni-Inva.
Of course her mother played a big part on her success but also her father was a great opera singer and great composer.
He wrote the Albanian best song of 20 century "The Waltz of Happiness"
Anyway glad to see her performing in Belgrade.
Kudos to Inva and B92 for publishing this news.

Also it was THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF SLAVIC WRITING AND CULTURE today when Saint Cyril and Methodius are mentioned. They wrote their Azbuka specially for the Slavs but in 19 century people like Vuk Karadzic decided to improve it. As a result of such reforms the differences were increased many times. So only those Russian words that were written and sounded similar (zasada, zastava, pogrom) remained untouched. I am happy that Serbs build bridges to their neighbors but please remember of your own culture too.

I am not trying to underestimate the role of her mother Nina, but on purpose you did not mention her father, Avni Mula; which was a great artist. His contribution is absolutely higher than Nina's. But apparently you suffer from religion stereotypes..typical for an ignorant. By way..Avni Mula was born in Gjakove, Kosovo..so tomorrow enjoy the show belgrade. In a way its a present from albanians.

one of those rare stories that warms your heart. It made my day.
Lets hope love and art and cooperation will conquer our torn apart balkan nations. Kudos to b92 for writing about this instead of usual worn out anti-albanian propaganda that is so common in our media.

The success of many of today’s Albanian artists is due in no small part to an amazing generation of Russian artists and specialists, and among them Inva’s mother was known for her incredible artistry and passion with which she lectured for decades at the Albanian Academy of Arts. Good news, not only Inva but all of her colleagues have always recognized their critical contributions to the Albanian art. Kudos to that generation of amazing Russians.

Actually when my generation was born those amazing Russians had already left for greener pastures and I needed to write this simple note as I’ve been singing my passionate love song here for weeks…

Signs of human beings in the Balkan. A Serbian and an Albanian finally meet each other without "Kill Kill" chants, without drones or "provokacija".
