Croatia: Wartime official found guilty of war crimes

A court in Zagreb has found Croatian politician and assistant Interior Minister in the 1990s Tomislav Mercep guilty on war crimes charges.

Five and a half years for 43? Sounds harsh considering Karadzic got 40 for 10s of thousands Muslims and Croats and Seselj nothing for thousands of Muslims, Croats, and Hungarians.

At least he is no longer protected by Croatia and European structures.
Here is an interview that member of his unit Miro Bajramovic gave to Croatian Newspaper back in 1997.

Oh the irony! After being protected for so many years at home, Zagreb finally finds him guilty of Command Responsibility, something which the ITCY failed to follow up on in two mock 'investigations' but has found countless others guilty of over the years.
