"Let Serbia be the first to have direct democracy where all major (and some minor) decisions are made via internet by citizens at home with plenty of time to make their choice."

Yes, and before give computers or smartphones and internet access too all citizens, in cities and villages and huts in the mountains, and provide classes for the pensioners how to use the internet.

Of course he is correct, democracy does not exist anywhere, it is a method of control giving the illusion that the voter has a say in the system. With modern communication technology why does any country need representatives who are elected to make decisions for the electorate? Why put monumental decisions in the hands of someone who is easily corrupted, directed or manipulated? Let Serbia be the first to have direct democracy where all major (and some minor) decisions are made via internet by citizens at home with plenty of time to make their choice. Chose or elect technocrats only to implement the peoples will giving them (the technocrats) little to no decision making power and then bingo you have real democracy not this American version of theater, reality show elections where you can pick the lesser of two evils and the results are always altered to meet the needs of the power structures.
