What has Wkikleaks got to say about the Panama papers?
"US Government funded the Panama Papers attack story on Putin via USAID".
It has nothing to do with protecting Putin, but all to do with the truth.

Now did the US give any aid to the Albos for infrastructure in Kosvoa? Out of all those trillions not a red cent was given to them LOL.

It sounds some people can't sleep at night because of Putin's name being associated directly or indirectly with the Panama Papers lol

Even if they do mention some, by the time it’s all settled these people will be far richer and the exercise would have been a waste of time.

Do you recall the BP spill in the Gulf of Mexico? BP was fined 20 billion; by the time they pay and claim that as a tax deduction and so on, the actual fine would not have been worth the effort levying. Its projected revenue for 2016 will exceed 230 billion.
I have not seen any names just heard the majority of the 29 are US citizens.
If you want a clearer picture of the US upper cast involvement in these schemes you need to access the databases in the Cayman Islands, Lichtenstein and Monaco. These are the favoured places for wealthy US citizens.
There would also be Samoa, the Marshall Islands, the Cook Islands, Vanuatu Nauru and the Federated States of Micronesia that are involved in “banking and hedge fund investments” activities.

If you take away dictatorship, democracy, freedom, brainwashing you would not be able to put two words together. Your’e frothing at the mouth revolves around these words, but I doubt you would know what that they are if they bit you on your arse. It just what you have heard on TV and now you are regurgitating on this site.
First there was no mention of Putin being involved in the Panama scandal, but as we see the “free western press” has now weaved it to read that he is involved. Secondly is this scheme illegal under Russian law? If not then what laws are being broken? Perhaps the laws of freedom and democracy are offended LOL.
Do you recall what happened to the reporters in the US that opposed the invasion of Iraq? Hmmmm? About 600 journalists from major US papers lost their jobs, that’s all. So much for freedom of the press. Perhaps you might look up the ownership of the media in the US and you just might get an insight to just how free that press is. There is less than a dozen that own it all.
I have never encouraged or mentioned where people should live, but what is stopping people from leaving Russia? Stalin?
During my stay in Europe I came across many refugees but they all wanted to go to Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Germany (most popular) Austria, but not the US. As a Bangladeshi waiter in Lisbon said to me, too many low paid jobs in the US, the US is no good anymore.

Panama Papers: Iceland prime minister seeks early poll.

[link]

This is the West.

In the East people rally around God Putin with his 2 billion $ and will vote for Him again. People there and some brainwashed Serbs here blame CIA for this problem...
(Teodor Muzaka 1389, 5 April 2016 16:22)

And let's not forget some detail about the prime minister of Iceland. He was rich before becoming prime minister. He is not being accused of having accumulated that wealth because of being prime minister. He is not even being accused of actually having a conflict of interest. But just the APPEARANCE of a possible conflict of interest (whether it really happened or not) was enough to force the Prime Minister to resign. That is the West and the Iceland people had certainly no desire to be on the same league as banana republics like Russia, China or Syria...

Whereas for many of the other rulers directly or indirectly implicated in the Panama Papers there is no way that they made their wealth worth billions $$$ by saving their salaries from public service :)

The Panama papers address dubious, criminal financial practices in countries all over the world, but the one's concerning Putin-Russia are the real delicate and most explosive ones. They go right to core of the this mafia state, and show the criminal practices this dictatorship, who claims to be a world power, is using. Anywhere in the West people or governments mentioned are getting in trouble, the Island government resigns, banks, companies, and rich investors involved in trouble, but in Russia the government controlled TV stations don’t even mention that Putin's Mafia friends are mentioned. Well, no wonder, because this shows one of the main differences between the free West and the Mafia Putin dictatorship. We have a free press which can report anything, in Russia Putin’s criminals control what is being reported in the media. Any criticism is unwelcome, reporters who violate this rule can or will end up in jail or even dead, like many times in the past. Russia has no democratic history, doesn’t even know what democracy means. It went straight from the Zar’s rule into Communist and later Putin’s repressive dictatorship, with only a short period of freedom during Perestroika. The public is brainwashed with censored news, a free media can’t function, is suppressed.

If people would be able to leave Russia, they would flee like all the Syrians running away from Putin’s friend Assad, and than we have idiots like sj, etc trying to sell this as a paradise. What a joke.

(sj, 5 April 2016 10:55)

Are any of them politicians? You know, the very first days after the leak becomes popular, the politicians will be the first to be mentioned by the media. As icj1 said, the more important the politician, the juicier the details. And Putin, as you and Zoran and Leo, and a bunch of others have repeated so many times here, is the superking of the world, the undisputed God of this Earth, forever was and will be in this life and the next, and the one after that, so he gets the front page. Next, come Cameron's father to link with Cameron, Assad's cousins, then the dead dictators, and so on.

But those billionaires, I am sure will be mentioned. You've seen their names apparently, why don't you tell us who they are. Is Trump among them?

This is considerably more than the usual Putin admirers try to make people believe here. It's the entire circle of Putins friends, all his close secret service buddies, all his close friends, even family members, like his son in law, which are involved in these illegal transactions. The way this works is, that these guys do the dirty buisiness for Putin and he has access to all this money. This criminal has robbed Billions, the estimates are anywhere from 40 to 200 Billion Dollars from his own country. He and his family owns luxery planes, yachts, villas all over. I don't know, there's plenty of coverage in US media about Americans hiding their money in offshore accounts. We heard a lot about Mitt Romney when he was running for president in 2012.

And don't forget, the US Congress has been operating with an abysmal approval rating for many years now - always hovering around 10%, sometimes less.

What makes people think that Americans don't consider their own politicians and billionaires to be crooks? OK, some are out to lunch - won't deny that - but look at the unexpected popularity of Bernie Sanders. Where do you think that comes from?

So I disagree that everyone in the West automatically blames Putin for all evil, while letting all the Westerners off the hook. That's BS.

There are plenty of Putins around the world, including here in the West. The difference is - and this point has pretty much been made by another poster - is that the system and culture limit them to some degree. Putin, at the core, is just another crook getting rich and powerful. Incidentally, in Russia, there's basically no limit to how rich and powerful he can become. And the more rich and powerful he becomes, the more the people love the guy. Too bad for Russia!

It is amusing to hear on the BBC how Vlad and friends were making millions illegally while at the same time the westerners on those lists conducted business according to law; simply amazing.
The BBC presenter went out of his way to explain Putin and friends were doing was against the law (I don’t know whose law) while in the same breath went on to tell the audience that Russia was a dictatorship and Putin can do what he wants – if that is the case then what Russians laws did Putin break? If these laws do not exist in Russia what is the west on about? Does the fact that some prominent US corporations have similar dealings in Panama place them in the same category as Putin or do US laws allows this practice????. Perhaps these corporations do their business democratically while Vlad’s heart is black from evil thoughts LOL.

Just out of curiosity how many of the 29 billionaires that are Americans have been named so far? Not one. We have the Chinese, Russians and others named but not the Americans. Now that is western corporate governance and transparency for you.

I can see that B92, unsurprisingly, goes along with Western press and attempt to blame Putin and other non-western-friendly politicians first for practically everything these days.

Putin is not mentioned at all in the documents but only some of his associates. Why isn't the Ukrainian President mentioned? He is in the documents. Even David Cameron has links, with his father being mentioned. But Putin's face is splashed all over the Western media. LOL! It is the reason Western press is being discredited and ignored these days.

If you read the articles in the Guardian, Süddeutsche, BBC, etc it becomes very clear how they operate, and how this criminal system works. Russia simply is a fascist Mafia dictatorship, run by a bunch of thiefs and criminals. All the deying of the sj, rote, Ari, or Peggy and friends just shows how blind and brainwashed these people are.

sj

The west has become child-like and this is a good example. Putin has kicked the US et al right in their proverbial over Syria and they think this will show the world the real Putin. Its pure banal 1950s propaganda.

sj

pre 8 godina

Putin was not in those source documents, but what does one say when you have allies of the US, the likes of Prime Minister of Pakistan, the King of Saudi Arabia, then the late father of British Prime Minister David Cameron, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko?
But the best is 29 billionaires featured in Forbes Magazine's list of the world's 500 richest people are also involved and the vast majority are Americans. What Vlad made them do it? LOL.
Then we have the Australian conglomerate BHP Billiton, then Google, Exxon; they all do the money laundering dance and hiding assets to avoid paying tax. There is not one western corporation that does not do the same.
This information was obviously obtained by intelligence forces then leaked to the journalists as part of an elaborate scheme to discredit the Russians, but this is a potential firestorm that will not make the western corporate world look good either.

David Cameron's family are involved in this scandal. They have been evading taxes for decades. Check -> http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-35961422

I wonder if B92 will only report negativity about Russia and Putin? Just like when Snowden released his docs, Western media focused on Putin at the beginning but in the end, it did more damage to the West.

As a result alternative media has and is becoming more and more popular. Can't wait until Russia has a foothold in Serbian media.

The difference between the West and East is that the politicians and the people who are mentioned in the West will not be elected or may go to jail.
The East where Russia is, people will rally around Putin and blame the West for the conspiracy and of course will re-elect him with a landslide.
Serbs like you better move to Russia, because you are the cause that Serbia is not moving toward West.

I'm quite happy living in Serbia thank you very much. Not sure why I should move to Russia.

You do have a point. Even though the Western media focuses on Putin and tries to destroy him, in the end the people of western countries will forget about Putin and be more concerned about the corruption in their own lands. However, I doubt anyone of any significance will end up in jail, as usual and a few low level scapegoats will take the hit.

If it doesn't serve the west any political advantage, their people will be protected, just like they have been.

Well, all Western media that I have seen mentioned Putin, Poroshenko, the deceased father of Cameron, etc... Now, you'd agree that among Poroshenko, a dead person and Putin, Putin is the most important of them and hence the front page. Putin can't be important when it's convenient and non-important when it is non convenient!

The difference between Russia, China and Western countries is that the citizens in, for example, Iceland are not idiots to treat this as a conspiracy theory or foreign plot against their prime minister, but are demanding his resignation.

On the other hand, you have the Russian populace that would see this as some sort of foreign plot against their God or the Chinese populace who is considered too stupid by its rulers to even be allowed access to the information that names of the Chinese politburo relatives were included in the "Panama Papers".

methinks you make a grand assumption expecting if westerners are complicit in any wrong doing that they will be take to task and jailed correspondingly.
not a single banker who played a role in the 2008 international banking and economic collapse were even brought to questioning, let alone pay the prices for their illegal activity.
furthermore, considering that the current us democratic primary leader has made a minor fortune simply speaking to various banks (on topics she knows far less than the audience, on topics where she cannot directly return the multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars to effectively cover the costs of her speech and make it a wise banking investment) over the past few years, and that the current democratic primary leader is on the path to being indited for her transgressions of bringing private confidential information off of a secure server and onto her own machine, one could easily conclude that there is something stinkier than fishiness going on in DC too.
