I have yet to see a western government give accurate information on anything much like the US and its unemployment numbers. Official is 5.9% while in reality its 23%.
(sj, 21 March 2016 13:48)

I totally agree with the CE of B92 forums sj, as always, that the US unemployment is much higher than the official numbers.

A friend of mine who works for a Malaysian commercial bank and knows these things very well, told me that the unmployment in the US is actually 123,8%. He told this to me confidentially since this is very proprietary information that his Malaysian commercial bank has...

There are 500 000 in Germany and another 400,000 in Austria, while in France there are 200 000 with 100 000 illegals. After the destruction of the Serbian economy in the 1990s by the west why is it surprising about those numbers that have left Serbia? On the other hand Turkey’s economy was not touched.
With the exception of recent arrivals in those countries (last 20 years) the Serbs moved to France and Germany in large numbers as workers in the 1960s/70s and 1980s aka during Tito’s time. Austria and Serbs have a very long history going back to the middle ages so it’s not surprising there are many Serbs there.

Jokes aside, turkey is not a European country. Never was, never will be.

turkey is an islamic country, that belongs in the middle east. Not in Europe.

You forgot to add Islamic Albania to that list

Which list? The list of non-European countries, the list of Middle East countries, the list of Islamic countries, or all the three lists above?

I'd find that offensive that the EU is not taking Turkey seriously.
(icj1

The offence is the EU is governed by leaders with no balls who have obviously thrown in the towel - they can't be bothered to stop the invasion and giving in to islamo-fascist genociders like Erdogan.Merkel knows pretty well the refugee/migrant crisis was staged by Erdogan who is not shy to up his demands for more money for his “assistance”.In his bid to establish a “Turkish empire”he and his family have already earned a fortune on oil smuggling and illegal transfer of Middle Eastern refugees to Europe.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/refugee-crisis-human-traffickers-netted-up-to-4bn-last-year-a6816861.html

What the so-called EU leadership should've done is threaten Erdogan with cancellation of Turkey's trade association agreement-even sanctions-if he didn't stop the human traffickers.Failure to comply they should back their rhetoric with force by using its navies to blockade the Greek coast and turn back migrant boats that have entered Greek waters. They also need to find a poor but safe country in Africa, who in return for substantial economic aid, will agree to host Europe's migrants whilst their claims are being processed. The Australians have done it and it WORKS. And before all woolly-headed liberals start whining about how cruel the Australians are, I would like to point out that no-one has drowned off the coast of Australia for a very long time.

Questioner

pre 8 godina

"Turkey is currently not ready for accession. I think that won’t be the case in 10 years either," Juncker told German Handelsblatt newspaper.

Nowadays, Turkey is moving away more and more from any European standards. Sometime you can get the impression that European standards and values are more and more adapted to Turkey.

How else can it it be that the EU is negotiating with a state that oppresses journalists and opposition parties, that military attacks neighbor countries, that kills 100s of its own civilian citizens and calls that 'fighting terrorism', that destroys whole villages and cities inhabited by Kurds, that supports ISIS fighters with weapons, medical treatment, and money (by buying stolen oil from them), that doesn't admit its genocide committed against Armenians, a country where the president thinks he doesn't have to accept rulings of the highest court?

No, if the EU had any principles, they would not even talk with a autocratic islamist dictator like Erdogan.

I like this man (maybe because I know not much) but today all EU leaders ( Frau, Hollande, Tusk, Juncker ) are lame ducks with fast vanishing chances to save their chairs. All of them will abandon their posts long before the declared 10 years will come to an end. Also I think that the Turkish victory over the EU may serve them bad service because they have hurt the Europeans and showed it to the whole world how weak and helpless the EU giant is. Post-imperial syndrome is very hard to get rid of. This we can one way or another see in every single state that had once been an empire. In Russia, in Turkey, in Britain, in France ect. The only exclusion is Mongolia because they first learned about the Great Mongolian Empire from Stalin’s history text book, translated into Mongolian in 1936.

Juncker is being kind to Turkey. Its more likely the EU will never allow the Turks to join. Can you imagine allowing Turkey to join and become part of the Schengen zone? within one week there would be no one left in Turkey; all heading for Germany, the land of social security and honey.
